I played Fusion for the first time only a few months ago (on the 3DS) and although more 'obviously' linear, it was still a fun and enjoyable experience. If I didn't already own it once, I'd probably pick it up on the Wii U VC.

    @Raiko101

It's a fine Metroid in it's own right with some fearsome bosses. I guess it's too much to hope for a HD update, eh!

I played the first half an hour or so of Rayman this evening, I enjoyed it much more than expected and it's really lovely looking.

What were you expecting? It got 10's across the board. It feels very lightweight after DKCTF, almost like a game designed for people who have never played a platform game before. I've stuck an hour or two in but no real desire to go back at this point.

I tried the demo of it・s predecessor and it didn・t click with me at all, no idea why I enjoy this more.
That・s the reason for my surprise, I know it・s a good game, I just thought that it probably wouldn・t work for me but wanted to try anyway.
    It・s early days though

I thought you didn't have a Wii U, Roddles? Though that would explain you wanting to pass, given it'd not be much/any use to you.

For what it's worth, it's quite good, and one of the best survival horror games in recent times that didn't compromise itself trying to be more of a shooter. Not bad for that price, certainly, though it is missing that certain something that'd have made it a classic.

I've had a Wii-U since early December! Completed Rayman Legends and Mario 3D World. Sold Lego Undercover from the console bundle. Nintendoland, Raving Rabbids and Wii Party U were all terrible. Bit stumped for anything else.

It's pretty much just being used for Wii games to facilitate a cleaner HDMI output.

Played the demo of ZombiU, hated the input lag and, well, the game itself.

Sorry man, can be hard to keep track of who has one in this thread.

You're right though, there is a bit of lag and a general clunkiness to ZombiU I can understand people not liking. It's not for everyone. I don't mind that because it feels exactly like how I'd be in that situation, but just because I'm a lazy person with slow reactions doesn't mean the game should recreate that experience for everyone ;)

@Roddles you sold Lego City? Ah man, that game's fantastic! Completed it last month but only at about 40% - can't wait to add to that!

Yeah didn't like it. The overly corny acting didn't come across as ironic, just plain corny. What with GTA V being so good it just wasn't my cup of tea.

ZombiU is a very classic survival horror. That is either good or bad depending on the person, do you prefer RE2 to RE4 is the question I guess.

You missed all the best bits, the Arnie and Morgan Freeman bits being a particular highpoint but both the script and voice acting were top notch and much of it deliberately hammed because the game is also deliberately hammed. I loved it myself and managed to finish it with 40 hours on the clock before calling it a day - that's quite something for me in this day and age.

Yeah, then the cool jazz end credits came on through the 5.1 so I turned the surround sound up and the kiddies started dancing and pretending to play saxaphone around the living room :)

Input lag in ZombiU? I have no idea what you are talking about.. never felt anything like that in the game. D:

So far I have "enjoyed" it very much. Why I'm saying it with the ":s is because it's nerve-wrecking on occasions. The atmosphere is very spot on for a survival game.

edit ps: How does the invading-system work in the game? I came across a zombified player, which was not one of my characters. Which was nice because I got a lot of loot from the poor bastard.
But this is just a random happening I assume? :)

    I prefer RE4 to RE2 but GC RE1 to RE4. Will I like it?

I really enjoyed ZU, it just needed a little more polish, though. Too many reused assets and clumsy interface. Cracking atmosohere and challenge, mind. Also, along with Rayman, one of the few to use the gamepad well.

@sega You have to go and complicate things, don't you?

For what it's worth, if you can get on with the clunkyness and slower pace of the originals, you should feel right at home with ZombiU.

I originally bought ME3 for the PS3, played a few hours then canned it as the frame rate was extremely ropy. Its a good game, but thought I would pick up the pc or 360 version to give it justice. Never did though.

As the wii u version was 8 quid thought I would give it a try. Its a lot smoother than the ps3 version, much more playable so if you havent gotten around to this yet, can heartily recommend the wii u version.

I can't imagine it being delayed until next year. It's a massive series in the US and it'll probably help sell some more units closer to christmas. Hopefully we don't have to wait that long, but I imagine the wait will be no longer than that.

Can't imagine it will be same goes for Mario Kart, even the Wii versions of those games were flagship online titles. Poster children for Nintendo online ability.
