    That shopto deal is back on, just ordered it... after reading the description a few times to make sure I wasn't missing out on something.
    It seems almost too good, Wii U 32GB and 5 games (including the new Mario 3D World) for 279:99.. you'd be insane not to snatch that up.

    Even at that price, I'm afraid I can no longer see it selling well :(

    @karlo87

    Wow! Been eyeing ShopTo bundles for months now, and they were always a joke! That is a very good WiiU deal for MArio fans! Happy you managed to get one. The more the merrier! :)

    Its an incredible deal, mine was 249.999 Zelda bundle and I thought that was a fair price.

    @rock27gr you're correct. I was mistaken. I only read the heading and not the right hand side pic.

    Well spotted ;)

    I'm looking forward to giving Nintendo Land a blast. I'm cooking Xmas dinner this year for 13 :-/
    So I'm thinking that to de-stress and wind down too with the family and a few well earned beers :)

    Nintendo Land is pretty great, some of the game do require motion plus though.

    Just had a couple of hours on Nintendo Land actually, and it is indeed a hoot! I can see it being fun with friends around!!!

    Also, has anyone been to the eShop lately? How about that nice christmassy tune Nintendo put on there! Lovely! :)

    It's little touches like these that make Nintendo feel so unique.

    Yeah, was on last night and bought Rush (not bad if you like puzzley stuff), Edge and the Pikmin dlc. I'd say that the eshop has improved since launch and Nintendo are finally starting to get a feel for it. They're still miles behind in online matters but it's coming along. Miiverse is certainly the jewel in the crown. I don't post much on it but I enjoy seeing what folk on my friendlist have been up to gaming wise. It's ironic that I'm having the most fun ever in gaming on what is likely to be one of the most unsuccessful consoles ever. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times and all that...

    Sainsburys have Lego bundle for 199. Shopto bundle is too much Mario :(

    Noticed the Christmas music last night, lovely detail. Can't imagine either Live or PSN having music in menus just for the hell of it.
  • Deleted user 13 December 2013 09:41:04
    @CompetitiveDad The Pro controller wont work with Nintendo Land at all.

    The Vita tried to pull the same trick by having muzak in its menu and store but, frankly, it was awful and (fortunately) optional.

    I like how the Wii U has different sounds coming out of the gamepad and TV speakers. Sort of gives a nice surround sound experience when playing games, too.

    I'm still contemplating a Wii U. If I do get one I need two more motion plus attachments, I have four wiimotes and two motion plus attachments. As the official ones are still 20 quid I was thinking I would get Wii Party U and Wii Play motion for the 'free' motion plus controllers. Wii Party because I quite liked the first and Wii Play because it's basically only a tenner for the game, even if it was mediocre.

    But I have also seen third party motion plus attachments for a fiver and I could sack off the games, certainly Wii Play. Worth a punt or steer clear?
  • Deleted user 13 December 2013 10:34:17
    The upside to having Wii remotes with motion plus built in is that you don't have to deal with attaching and removing the block every time you change games. If you play any game that requires holding the Wii remote sideways, the motion plus block will make it difficult reaching the 1 and 2 buttons.

    I've got one of them and it comes in handy for Wii Sports Club, but it's not practical for Wii Party U.

    I noticed that too, and the lovely Mario BitArt wallpaper.

    Crossed my mind to buy one of these the other day. I want to play Mario.

    What's the Pikmin DLC like?
  • Deleted user 13 December 2013 15:08:49
    @Erek
    I haven't played all the Pikmin dlc yet but I've enjoyed what I've tried. If you like the main game then it's worth the asking price. I like the timed fruit collecting missions. Not sure what the boss battle dlc is like but hopefully I'll get a chance to try it tomorrow.

    Apologies if already posted but thought I'd mention that Pikmin 3 is currently 29.99 and Zelda WW HD 24.99 in Game. The Wonderful 101 is 29.99 in HMV.

    Cheers for the heads up :)

    @CompetitiveDad It'll be worth it, honestly. It's one of the best local multiplayer experiences I've had in recent years. Since Smash Bros Brawl and Left4Dead.
