I have to say, the one thing I really don't like about the Wii U so far is how noisy the disc drive is. It's not far off the original Xbox 360 in that respect.
  • Deleted user 25 October 2013 21:17:23
@Aretak I own a Wu and a fat 360, and there is no contest, the 360 drive is much noiser. Sounds like a jet engine.

I agree that it is still pretty noisy though, more than I expected. Much noiser than the Wii, in terms of drive noise and fan noise. The Wii is practically silent.

The Wii U accesses the disk too often for me. I've gone digital which is a pain let me tell you :D

@Pinky_Floyd Do you have any reverse buyer's remorse for blowing your PS4 cash, or are you still pleased with the decision?

    Now they would be instabuy!

Dear Nintendo, please remove the vertical balancing wiimote control on galaxy.
  • Deleted user 25 October 2013 22:55:20
What was that about no chance of a Sunshine re-release? ;)

    Please be 60fps.

Speaking of which, I can't believe there has never been a HD or 60fps re-release of Mario 64. That would be the ultimate.

Didn't they knock Wind Waker out in 6 months? If Wind Waker did bring about a mini revival, why create a new game when they can release the HD versions of past games.

It would actually tip me past getting one to be fair, but it's worrying Nintendo seem to have lost their way somewhat. Even a new Mario game isn't the event it once was these days.

They tried publishing an original game. It sold poorly, even relative to the userbase. They remade Wind Waker HD and it sold well in comparison. We're hardly giving them good reason to make new games now, are we? It's our fault! Especially yours, Ryan. Especially yours.

No particular reason. No idea if you even bought W101. Or a Wii U. But even if it's both, did you buy 2 copies of W101? No? Then it's your faults again. If you'd bought a fee million copies, things would be different I tell ya!

I'd kick the living daylights out of the producers of Tipping Point - Ghandi

Nope. The PS4 is expensive and has no games I want to play so no point.

Maybe next year when its cheaper and has some interesting games.

Also, off tv play proving so useful. Tried remote play when I had my ps3 and vita but it was nowhere near as nice as off tv. Remote play supposed to be fixed for ps4 but 350 + game + vita = about 550. No ta.

Sorted for third party games on my pc. Having 2x gtx 670'S and a 120 hz monitor means it kicks the shit out of a ps4 anyway so BF4, Watchdogs etc. all gonna run better on the pc.

What makes the wii u so tasty is the nintendo games and also the brilliant little gamepad. Wouldnt be without it. I can also include my family, myself and my daughter were playing wii u party earlier. Fun!

Why the Wii U is the best next gen choice this xmas

The Wii U is getting some love on the front page.

... I do agree regarding the two new consoles not being quite as compelling however, it does annoy me somewhat that the PlayStation 3 is left out, for the thing is still going strong (with Gran Turismo 6 waiting in the stables).

A seven (and a half) years old console does it better than all these new ones!

Fancy a good olde chuckle this morning?

Pop over to our friends on Nintendo Life and see the comments within the Golden Joystick awards article, in which Nintendo walked away with ... nothing!

I doubt any of them has played BioShock Infinite or The Last of Us going by their (daft) words.

... of course the awards were FIXED (!)

Oh, Super Mario Sunshine in HD would be great, thank you!

... still looks pretty to me, especially the water.

Sunshine is still an insanely good looking game. Only the icons/counters could do with a face lift.

Edit: I only played it for the first time last year so this isn't nostalgia talking either.

It'll have been out for a good year longer than the other next gen consoles. It's no surprise therefore that it has the better line-up, not to mention it's cheaper. Nintendo would have had to mess up massively for it not to have the best Christmas of the three, and fair play to them, they've not disappointed..

As for HD remakes, no thanks. I must be the only one in the world who doesn't really care for these things especially when they're of single player games I've already completed. I'm not interested in new shiny graphics.

Also, judging by the red and green comments, at least 15 people have missed the fact the my FIRST is not complimentary.

My WiiU came with Nintendolands - which quickly numbed any excitement about my new console :(

Only have 20 pounds to spend - I'll try get Mario or something from Gamestation this morning.
