@zoolophage Well if you've gone Wii U only, you are probably a pretty casual gamer and will find that there is enough to keep you ticking over.

The rest of us have our other consoles and PC's for any dry periods but still get to enjoy the Wii U when a good game is released.

@Armoured_Bear It's a brilliant little feature as it seems to take full 720p high quality images, possibly even 1080 if the game runs in 1080. I was having fun testing it out last night.

EDIT: Those Wind Waker shots :D

EDIT 2: When uploading, the TV shows 2 shots, what is currently on the TV and what is currently on the gamepad, so you get to choose what you want to upload.

I haven't played with it yet but I'm definitely going to..
The chances of me not buying WInd Waker tomorrow despite my backlog have dropped :-)
That thread makes me want to give ZombiU another go...

Here's one I did earlier, though this was first uploaded to another forum and may have been compressed during that process:

You can't direct embed dropbox images.

Give yourself 5 or gig, you're worth it.

@Armoured_Bear I only ever browse EG in the 'Mobile' format, even on a 1080p monitor. I can't stand the other implementations of the site so if there are buttons, signatures and other things, I never see them :)

    I think I'm a casual gamer now \o/

I was looking at getting a new gaming pc but as I only really play Europa Universalis and Crusader Kings I don't think it's worth it. I used to buy loads on steam but knocked that on the head a couple of years ago. I get the feeling that other hobbies are more important now than gaming. For those who want it and can afford it (money and time) multi platform seems the way to go, and you can pick up good Wii U games as and when appropriate.

I probably get in about 5 hours of gaming a week on average. In which case I need my gaming to be guaranteed pure quality, and Nintendo always delivers (when they get around to it...) so I'm more than happy to rely on my Wii / Wii U and PC. My 360 has not been turned on for a very, very long time... honestly I don't think I've turned it on in 2013. It amazes me when I see people say "I've already ploughed in 50 hours to GTAV"... I meant wtf?! There is more to life!!

I can get about 8 or 9 hours a week of gaming if I use all of my commute time for 3ds (about 6 hours a week). The trouble with that is that I then don't do any reading. I'm pretty happy with 3 hours a week on Wii U, a lot of which is on the gamepad. Played 30 minutes of Pikmin 3 last night, which I'm enjoying enormously.

I'm at that point in my life where i'm having to admit defeat and cut back my gaming time. It's just I don't want to. Some weeks i'll go over 10 hours. Others will be less than. It all depends on how busy I am and how social i'm being.

    @Raiko101

That's life for you. You can't do everything. Pick a few things that are most important to you and joyfully let the rest go, as hard as that may be. Make sure that you spend your time doing what you want to do. Play quality games that you find enriching and wonderful and consider that time well spent.

The pro controller is awesome, just as good as advertised. Everything about it is brilliant, including the battery life and dpad. If only it had analog triggers it would be the best controller yet.

Is the pro controller compatible with Wii games and Wii VC games a la classic controller?

It's great but doesn't feel as comfy in the hand as the awesome Wavebird, such a shame they didn't reuse that shape and improve the triggers and 2nd stick...

Pretty much certain, if they've not been lying to us. We already know they've got it up and running, so they've already made the investment to get going. They've still been doing interviews with Nintendo specific websites and magazines too (quite recently) which would be pointless if they'd decided to abandon it.

The big question is whether or not it'll be a shoddy port or not. They've already said it'll be 720p and 30fps, but even that is just talk. Still, CoD Ghosts is due out next month and there's been no specific Wii U footage of that, so they'll probably go about it in the same way and just market the game rather than it being on any specific format.

Most Wanted is a lot of fun, but it's not a sim, so I'm really looking forward to Project CARS :)

    Hey guys!

Wii U games. They don't need that thing you waggle and can all be controlled off the gamepad? What about the Pro controller, can I use that on most games such as Lego City?

I'm talking about SP here. If I were to take it around to a mates house who's got a Wii U, then they could be used for the other players?

The Resident Evil films. I'm one of the reasons they keep making them.

Lego City needs the gamepad, but I think most stuff can be played on the Pro controller.
