    What, to Mario 3C?
No... Super Mario 3D Land, the game that actually came out.
... on the 3DS. With the 3D referencing what I said above.

    Doesn't matter though.

The original title was Super Mario Poor Name That Gives Facetious People Ammo For Point Scoring on Message Boards.

I think the current title is only slightly better.

I'll never get my Orc looking the same again.

I didn't realise it was a remake, though it does look very similar.

My Need for Speed arrive from Grainger Games. Unsealed, as I thought, but pube free and flawless disc so can't complain. Great game too. Wii U stuff is mostly fluff but it doesn't break the game as I feared it might.

One thing I really like which I have to credit them for is Autolog being cross platform for some things, so although I only have 1 fellow Wii U driver, I've got a good few rivals to beat from 360 too. Doesn't cover everything, but it's still nice.

I'd kick the living daylights out of the producers of Tipping Point - Ghandi

Wife cleared off to pics. I got kids to bed then settled down with Pikmin 3. Played about 5 days and loved every second. Truly lovely game, full of charm and fun.

Then decided it was time to finish off Peachs Castle and banish Bowser once and for all in NSMBU. Fuck me those last few levels are hard, especially the lava elevator race. But defeat him I did :)

Now for all the coins. I think I love this as much as Super Mario World now.

Who the fuck cares about the story mode in Smash Bros. It's about the multiplayer!

What next, you want a story mode in Mario Kart.

Frankly I'm happier they work on more stages/characters/gameplay balance.

I don't really care about a story mode (though I do think one has a lot of potential) but I did really love the cutscenes in the Subspace Emissary so it's dissapointing that we wont be getting anything like that again, especially if they would have looked as good as the Megaman reveal stuff. You're right though, it is all about the multiplayer so it's not like I'm not going to be buying it or something.

I must be one of few (if there are anymore anywhere) that exclusively plays single-player Smash Bros. That's why the Gamecube one is my favourite, as I preferred it's story mode over the Wii one. Without a single-player, it's a no sale for me. I'm sure they'll be devastated ;)

Just a thought on Deus Ex Wii U - won't the ability to leave notes for other players make hacking very easy? Nigh on every keypad will have a virtual post-it note with the doors code on it! Unless I troll them all and do that with incorrect codes. Mwahahahaha!

@Pinky_Floyd According to Nintendo Life, who mentioned it quite casually. I'd link you, but i'm on my phone. It's still on their main page though.

Update - Here's the link! The article is just about Lorne Lanning loving the idea of working with Satoru Iwata and that he respects Iwata's beliefs that laying off staff doesn't solves financial problems.

Nintendo reapplies for Eternal Darkness trademark. Is this an indication that GameCube games are coming to the Virtual Console or is this an attempt to stop Precursor Games releasing Shadow of the Eternals on other formats?

A time traveller from the past has arrived! Do not waste your time in this dimension passing us old news, instead go back to your time and set up a massive accumulator on sporting events that you can find out the results of.

I stumbled upon a neat feature yesterday - you can use the gamepad as TV remote without starting the Wii U: just press the TV button on the gamepad and it will start the TV remote app without booting the Wii U.

Nothing earth-shattering, but it's really nice to see the attention to detail Nintendo put in the system design.

TV remote is very cool, nice bit of vaersatility in the gamepad.

Was thinking too about the versatility in how you can play Pikmin 3.

You can use wiimote or you can use the gamepad and finally the pro controller. On top of that if you use the gamepad you can also choose to play it on the small screen itself. Loads of ways to play one game.

Does that not just invalidate the point of the gamepad in the first place?

not really as you still use it even with the wiimote and nunchuck as a map and fast movement for when you split your groups up
