    Honestly.

    Wii version had 4 item slots compared to two as well.
    There are some pros and cons for each version tbd, saying one is clearly better than the other is a bit disingenuous.

    TP was the game that really made me hate waggle as well. It didn't help that it was poorly implemented on an average Zelda game with nothing new to offer, just as the average Zelda game with nothing new to offer wasn't helped by having waggle.

    Wind Waker is the right Zelda game to bring back, if they have to bring back a Zelda game. Of course what they should do is make a new one (rather than waiting and seeing how WW does).

    I'm sure they are beavering away on it and can understand them not wanting to distract from WW till it's out.

    Possibly because no-one at Nintendo appears to understand their own hardware, which is odd given that it is a Gamecube Super Turbo DX.

    Bit different when the meat of the game was created and polished years ago, just a case of transferring it to an entirely new engine.

    Bot easy, but still.

    Unless they're redoing everything?

    This lunchtime I just watched back all the E3 vids through the WiiU eshop, in smooth HD rather than the shite, jerky stream of yesterday. I have to say it has cheered my up a lot. Doesn't completely make up for the glaring omissions and delays, but I'm genuinely looking forward to a number of those games shown now that a) I've calmed down b) seen them in decent quality.

    I didn't know Wind Waker had a load of content cut. That is the sort of thing that should be making it into a remake.

    Dunno, that DK game reminded me mostly of DK Jungle Beat which is almost certainly my favourite DK game ever. I don't mind if Retro are working on that, because it's probaby the game I'm most hyped about after that Direct.

    I have the Gamecube Mario dance mat. Aside from it being made of greased teflon and the songs being basically undanceable it was ... still rubbish.

    I'm actually pleased Retro's game is another Donkey Kong. I love those games. Far better then the 2D Mario's these days and actually hard as shit at times. Looking forward to that.

    It's certainly not unwelcome (especially with David Wise being back on board as the composer) and looked really good in the trailer. People are just underwhelmed because they were hoping for something a little more groundbreaking from Retro - feels like their talents would have been better used to resurrect another franchise, or even create something new.

    I personally find games like that to be garnish as opposed to a main course, if you know what I mean. It's the sort of thing that would be a well loved XBLA game on the 360, as opposed to a full on major AAA release.

    I agree and disagree, kinda.  New Super Mario Bros Wii U is the best 2d Mario since super Mario world, it's just stunning.  Taking nothing away from the quality of DKC tho as I'm currently working my way through the 3ds version and it's also fantastic.

    If you like 2d platformers then you are in heaven, and why wouldn't you, they are gaming distilled into fine little potions of wonder.  Nothing else comes close, not Rayman or any of the other pretenders.

    The new Super Mario feels fresh as anything and it really shouldn't.  Had I known just how good it was I would probably have bought a Wii U sooner.

    Was playing Metro Last Light tonight on the pc and it's a smashing game, well worth playing.  Make me choose between that and SMBWU and I will take the little plumber thanks very much.

    It's just too much damn fun.  Reminds me why I love games whereas Metro mostly reminds me why I need to buy a new GPU :)
