    And the Wii U gives devs more features/options han any other machine.

    More gimmicks.

    @Sid-Nice

    I think your Gamecube number is correct in the way of thinking, but I think the market has expanded and in just a few years time, the younger kids that had a wii as their NES duck hunt will be asking for a Wii U. So I'm expecting it to at least manage 360 success(40m factoring in RroD) and maybe more as the core consumer learn to forgive Nintendo for the Wii and look for a second console that brings something different to the 720/PS4.

    Playing Skyward sword via hdmi on LCD makes it a CRT quality responsive experience, and the Zelda co-op minigame in Nintendoland looks great in HD to show a bit of credibility that WiiU will feel next-gen with the right games from Ninty.

    No, no guys. It does give devs more options. They just don't care.

    It'll depend on this Christmas. If it does not get going from that, you can forget about 40-50 million, they'll be lucky to even hit 20 million.

    I think 20-40 Million is realistic but any more is unlikely.

    I do apologise, I feel that I haven't made myself clear. I'm not very good at putting my thoughts across sometimes. Don't worry, I am working on it :)

    I do understand what you're saying, but what I feel (and the part that is open to opinion) is that, extra options or not, it wouldn't automatically lead to better games or more games. Yes, it would undeniably give them more options, but I don't think that's necessarily better. They've not used what the Wii U already has, after all ;)

    So I certainly stick to some of the things I said, such as that there's never being a game that felt like it would be improved with multi-touch, and that for drawing I prefer the type of screen the Gamepad currently has, as well as feeling it wouldn't add anything that'd positively change gameplay. Change, probably, but I'm not convinced it'd be for the better.

    If I've not been clear this time, could someone please help me out? I'm trying to be clear but looking at the size of this post I've think I've caught JinTypeNoirItis ;)

    I'd kick the living daylights out of the producers of Tipping Point - Ghandi

    I should've just type "I don't think more isn't necessarily better". Saved myself a lot of typing. Then again, I'm having fun so it's all good :)

    360 has sold 77million plus you mong. Wii will be lucky to hit 20.

    This thread is comparable to The Matrix.

    ... déjà vu after déjà vu.

    I reckon the Wii U will happily pass the 20-25 million milestone, but no more than 30 million (LTD).

    Just like the PS Vita me thinks!

    It is indeed. Today I had to check I wasn't reading yesterdays posts.

    Its all the same.  Its still an enjoyable read at times but not much in the way of new content.

    Now come on I've set one up for someone there!

    Get this ...

    ... along with Luigi's Mansion 2 and Fire Emblem: Awakening.

    You'll be in gaming heaven!

    p.s. You should be able to get maybe £220-250 for your (dusty) ZombiU Wii U bundle.

    @Raiko101

    The announced games are of interest to me but it's the total lack of release dates that have really frustrated.

    I took a gamble knowing that there wouldn't be many games off the bat but I half expected Nintendo's first big post launch game (pikmin) to be out by Easter at the latest when I bought the thing at the end of January. It's not even out in America until August.

    Everything else might as well be vapourware at the moment. Game are offering just shy of two hundred for the premium trade in which is not far off what the premiums are going for in certain places.

    I have now got a PS3 so I can play actual games on that while I wait I guess. I don't know if I can motivate myself to gather it all up into boxes anyhow.

    16 notes and a copy of House of The Dead 2 on Dreamcast, cracked case but all discs and manuals there in good condition.

    Beat that Desmond.

    You'll also be wielding the gayest looking handheld in the known world. Look at that decal. Might as well start carrying around a Hello Kitty purse.

    Lmao agreed. If you're going to get an XL just get a bloody normal one. My daughter would love that Animal Crossing one though. She's 4 in November.
