    It wouldn't be cost effective.

The PS3 demo was ok, the combat feels very stiff though.

    Dear Jesus.

Put it out of its miserly already.

Can Wii games be played with the gamepad or do I have to go purchase Wiimotes?

Why is needing a wii remote to play a game designed for the Wii remote so hard to understand.. Gamecube controllers were needed to play GC games on the original Wii..

I dont get some people, did you not research the thing before you bought it or did you just buy it to feel more justified with the anti-nintendo moaning ???

Not being funny, but there's not much I'm particularly interested in on 360 between now and June either.

You're not wrong, but I think his point is that the Wii U is a new console, not an 8 year old one.

Not denying its barren, just saying it is all round.
It's ok though, we can all go outside and play in the sun... Oh. Bugger.

Because half the bloody Wii u games need them as well and they are not in the box.

    Absolutely.

Not a great deal on the PS3 either other than The Last of Us.

Definitely got that 'end of an era' feel about this gen. Not much on the horizon at all so I've been catching up with titles I missed when they came out.

The end of the era bit is good for those that miseed out on past good games on the systems as they are going for next to nothing now.

My lad wants a 360 for his birthday, i was reluctant to get him one as I had one for a while at launch and it was my most hated (well boring and under-used) machine ever. But I have resisted and picked him up a Kinect bundle with the 3 games and a couple of extra games for a touch over 250. Worth a punt at that price.

Still not a great deal in that back catalogue that I'd actually want to sit and play.

Also, the Wii motes are only really needed for Multiplayer. I cant rememeber the last console that was bundled with more than one controller in the box so extras have always been needed.

Another myth like "all Wii games have waggle"... that myth was from pleople that only ever played Wii sports and party games on a Wii.

@darrenb Stop being upset because someone else you've never met on a gaming forum think that the pile of plastic and circuitry under your telly with "nintendo" written on it is a pile of dogshit.

There's absolutely no reason whatsoever that the majority of Wii games couldn't have been made compatible with the gamepad.

@Progguitarist There's a few games i'd rather have the Wii remote for. Wii Sports, Excite Truck, Mario Kart, Metroid Prime, Pikmin, the Tiger Woods games, Anno, No More Heroes, Wario Ware...

If they dropped the controller for the Wii, they'd just be releasing the Gamecube again. They'd long decided not to waste money on making a competitively powered console again, seeing as so few bought the Gamecube.

You might as well do something different as the visual department is going to be a generation behind. Otherwise what is the point?

Wario Ware Wii was crap. Mainly because it flashed up an image telling you how to hold the wiimote for too short a time before every minigame. I guess it'd be an okay single player game if you spent the time to learn the poses, but as a party game it sucked.

Cubby didn't know how to turn off sigs!

I went to the bottom of the list and expected to click 'See 25 More Games'. I don't even think I'd buy the console for Bayonetta 2 now. By the time that's released I'll be on the PS4.

Nintendo need to have a sensational E3. However, I think they'll just announce more HD remakes of existing games. That in itself can be good but you need 'proper' games as well.

That list doesn't seem to have that much shovel ware though. So that at least is something.

The Resident Evil films. I'm one of the reasons they keep making them.

From what I have read it sounds like its built like a Metroid game except you have to learn techniques rather then unlock powerups to progress.

Lego City and Monster Hunter are two of the best games I've played for ages.

I don't think things are looking that bad.

The fact that there still isn't a date for Pikmin, 101 or Bayonetta 2 is annoying though. I bought my console expecting them all to be imminent.

I've not played Lego City, my son will be getting that for his birthday. If Monster Hunter plays anything like the demo did it should be consigned to hell.

I had toki tori on the iPhone and if the new one is anything like the last one, the puzzles will quickly become finnicky bullshit.

I really didn't like the demo at all to begin with. I gave it more time due to it being so highly regarded and once it clicked I really started to enjoy it.

It is a shit demo mind, but then I don't know how I would manage to encapsulate all that the game is into a demo.

It's basically an advanced Phantasy Star Online.
