The sooner someone can start playing Monster Hunter 3 and then post here how you're supposed to play it, the better.

Never played the MH games before, pre-ordered this based on the reviews though.

Tried the demo.....didnt have a clue what was going on.

Really hoping for an in-depth tutorial or at least a detailed manual.

Haven't you already said this? I did check the last page but couldn't see anything, but I would swear I replied.

Anyway, the game starts off very gently. It has a really good tutorial section that eases you into it, showing you a little bit at a time and building you up to a proper hunt. Bit of a pain for returning players, but great for new ones.

I'd kick the living daylights out of the producers of Tipping Point - Ghandi

Create a Monster Hunter Wii U thread; I'm sure you'll receive tips and advice. I'm not interested in this game but from what I have gathered Monster Hunter 3 has a very long learning curve which should be helpful to beginners.

I forgot I had it on pre-order and it despatched yesterday.

Played Tri for well over 100 hours (which is nothing for a MH title) and loved it, but not sure I can be jaffered to start again. May get returned. I'm going to fuck about on the demo for a while tonight and see how it controls on the gamepad.

Wii U port problems in a nutshell in that post:

    -Played it before
-Can't be assed to play it again, especially at full price
    -Might control crap

You can use the Pro Controller and the Gamepad at the same time... or just one or the other. And off-screen gaming coming. It'll control fine.

Never played Tri. Looking forward to it. Online play was the clincher over 3DS version.

Pretty sure someone tried creating a WiiU thread for it, but it was swiftly locked by a mod because there is already a 3DS thread for it...? :|

I'll jump on there tonight (if its shown up) and i'll post my confused ramblings in here.

    It's a great game.

I'm just having trouble justifying it to myself at the moment. If we can start building a community here though that could change ;)

    @joelstinton

Nice to see Nintendo listen for a change!

... such an utterly daft system that was an easy 'LOL' ammunition against them.

Great news on the 18+ restriction being lifted.

Makes sense really considering the Wii U seems to have or be having a lot of 18 rated titles appearing on the console.

Can't really argue with a country's legal policies though, idiotic or not. They worked to resolve the issue and did.

You can argue with them if you don't live in the country in question.

There was never any need for them to completely block adult games though. That was simply Nintendo being dumb and overzealous when it came to trying to comply with Germany's laws. Fortunately even the USK seem to have told them that they went way overboard in what they did, and simply needed parental controls.

Interesting article on MCV claiming the unofficial 50 price cut hasn't worked.

Nintendo really need to pull their fingers out. If they are waiting for E3, that will be a huge mistake imo as it will be all about PS4/720 and any announcements won't get the attention they need.

Nintendo couldn't pull Wii games out of thin air to assuage the droughts, I don't see how they could do any better for the Wii U, a system which requires more development resources.
