Looks like a decent game. For all the woes about the Wii-U there's a fair few titles coming up i'm interested in. I also appear to have 7 Wii-U retail games thanks to Zavvi and Amazon having sales last week on a couple of games.

Can't wait for tomorrow's entertainment after the Sony gig too.

Fuck 60hz its just going to make it harder.

I'm tempted to get Balloon Fight now that today is the last chance, I probably won't play it much but 30p is nothing.

I can't find the Wii U virtual console shop anywhere on the shop screen. I can see balloon fight on the front page and I can't browse for other virtual consoel titles :/

You're not allowed to buy Virtual Console games between 11.38am and 12.17pm due to German laws on buying overpriced tat.

The full WiiU VC hasn't been released yet. Apparently its coming around April, until then we have these monthly 30p games. I'm not sure how it works but balloon fight might disappear from the store when FZero comes on later today.

The demo for Monster Hunter will be out today as well.

I find it refreshing and nice to see such senior figures in the industry being so enthusiastic and childish about gaming and not being über serious and po-faced. Each to their own.

If there's one thing that tops that list of qualities that shareholders are looking for in a CEO it's childishness.

A cynical man might say that things like this are just blatant pandering to Nintendo fans, motivated entirely by getting you to go "aww, they love games just as much as me" so that you'll keep buying their products, rather than just for funsies.

Not me though. I'm sure Iwata is the office practical joker.

That may be true, if so, it works for me :-)

For once I agree with you. They take it a bit far at times, but on the whole it's much better than taking it too seriously. Similarly, Sony have been much more tolerable since Hirai became a bit more humble and happy to mock himself and ditched Kutaragi and brought Kevin Butler in. MS went and did the exact opposite, starting with J "Mental drunkard skater dude. Gnarly." Allard and now having their presentations done by Don "I've never played a game but I saw a Powerpoint about them once, it had charts and everything" Mattrick, and now their conferences are tediously dull.

Yep, Jack Tretton comes across pretty well too IMO but the MS presentations are run by either utterly boring or hateful twats for some strange reason..

To be fair, they are selling home entertainment devices, not performing stand-up. Why does everything have to be so personality driven?

Successful business man does not resonate with nerd shocker.

No, and when they're presenting their quarterly figures to their board members and shareholders I'd expect a business presentation. When they're trying to sell gamers and journalists on new games and hardware in a presentation being broadcast live to millions of gamers then actually appearing to care about games might not be a bad approach.
