It looks too defined and smooth. It's crisper, yeah, but it's lost a lot of personality, going by the few images they've released. It looks less cartoony and more like generic videogame graphics. Going by this video, I prefer how the GC version looks.

If they can ge the game running at 60FPS, then we may be looking at an improvement on what is one of the prettiest games of all-time.
Also, please please let them imprive navigation, was an utter PITA in the original.

Perhaps Nintendo are just trolling considering the outrage about the graphics when Wind Waker was originally released ;)

@ecu - Eh? Surely that's just a byproduct of having the painterly textures in HD now?

In the GC version shadows were hard edged, in the HD version they're gradual and it just doesn't look right.

It no longer looks like a cartoon. The environments aren't too bad but the characters are awful.

I don't think so. Okami HD retained everything that made the original Okami so gorgeous. Looks like they've removed the cel shading with this, and I can only hope the screens are just a work in progress. I'd love to play a proper HD version of Wind Waker since it's my favourite Zelda game and one of my favourite games of all.

Damn and it's out next week so it's set in stone... oh wait, they've got a long time to go yet. I'd like to see more of it in motion and hopefully they dial back the bloom a bit and heighten the edging effect.

OMFG! I just remembered the GBA hookup thing with Tingle. Man, Tingle on the Gamepad would be aces.

WWHD would be an absolute must buy if they replaced the rubbish slog near the end with the missing dungeon...

They should add in the dungeons that got cut from the Gamecube version.

I don't think they'll change much about the game itself. Although it would be nice to be able to skip that little cut-scene that played every time you wanted to change wind direction.

I imagine they will change hardly anything. What would be the point?

Given that Skyward Sword is still full of annoying things like that, I doubt they'll change it. Every time you load the game up it gives you information on all the items you find, it drove me bonkers.

As long as they look at Skyward Sword and don't do any of that, we'll be golden.

You're low on health! You're low on health! You're low on health! You're low on health! You're low on health! You're low on health! You're low on health! You're low on health! You're low on health! You're low on health! You're low on health!

Any pics/vids of the new Yoshi game? If the Kirby team are making it it sounds like it will be more a piss-easy pre-teens game like Yoshi's Story rather than the Yoshi's Island sequel I'd hope for.

Wow, that literally is Yoshi's Epic Yarn. While it looks very pretty it doesn't fill me with confidence that it will be anything other than an incredibly simple platformer for the very young.

For those who missed it you can use your gamepad as a camera on Pikmin 3

Looks like the Xeno game will be multiplayer, chat box and player 1, 2 and 3 on the left hand side.

Don't know if that means it'll be an MMO or if it's a bit like Monster Hunter/Borderlands.

I'm sure it won't be an MMO. Probably something along the lines of Phantasy Star Online.

I'm guessing its goings to be DKC. It was listed with the others in that miiverse. Saying that it makes the wii u line up a bit lop sided in favour of platformers.

That Xenoblade game looks quite interesting although I'm not seeing the 'next genz graffics' that a load of people are exclaiming on the front page comments.

Looks good though and it's a good time to announce all these incoming games as I've been on the fence about getting a Wii U for a while.

3rd party support still looks a bit barren mind but I was always going to be getting one of the next gen xboxes/ps4s anyway so that would have all that covered.

I'm really really hoping that they pull another Galaxy esque Mario out of the bag. Not another entry in the Galaxy series mind. Something new for Mario and something to show that Nintendo can still do more than just iterate past glories.

I'm sure the Xeno game could be pulled off on the PS3 and 360, but I can't recall seeing a game with the same epic scale on those platforms, which is what's got me excited.

Fair enough, don't get me wrong the game does look very nice and also interesting to play.

I think Nintendo have done enough to convince me to take a punt with their system.

Pikmin's out fairly soon isn't it?
