You did before Xmas, but that might not be the case now. I don't really know. If you're looking for a challenge though, single player is much harder.

The local multiplayer on Sonic is superb fun.

    Looked at my game collection this morning;
    NSMBU
    Zombi U
    Tank Tank Tank
    Skylanders
    Sonic Racing Transformed
    BLOPs2
    Raving Rabids (still unopened...daft wife!)

    and on the machine
    Trine 2
    Switch Force
    That bird thing

Dear god...please don't let the value of the games plummet!!

    Skylanders? Activision reams another gamer.

My 3 games are NSMBU,Zombi U and Sonic Racing transformed.

Everything else on the Wii port wise is done better on the other consoles.
Sonic All-Star Racing Transformed is excellent online “Smooth as a babies bum” the problem is most of the online players are excellent too. Your comment “Everything else on the Wii port wise is done better on the other consoles” isn’t actually correct; the Wii U version (port) of Black Ops II is far superior graphically compared to the PS3 build.

Skylanders is actually really good fun. And great in co op. ignore the silly toys and it's Well worth the £40 I paid. Of course, stick the name rare on it and noone would bat and eyelid.

They're not 'required' though. You get 3, that's all we've used in co-op. and it's very enjoyable.

The first Skylanders was really good, can't wait to play the second one. It's almost a shame the figures overshadow it to some extent, because like Gambit says it's still a great game with what you get in the box. Everything else is optional, though I have to admit I can't hep myself :p

The coop is excellent fun. If it was totally tailored to wii u as I'd expect the next one to be, it would be complete win! Even gives you the option when you start to play on the gamepad instead :-)

Played a bit more of Nintendoland, it's extremely cute and I really like the visual, screenshots don't do it justice at all.

However, why do Nintendo have to have yet another unskippable irritating cunt of a character bleating on and treating you like a retard?

I bought my first eShop game (Trine 2) and the shop was a job to use, definitely nicer than PSN or XBLA (as it should be)...

Did my data transfer today - I stress about these things, but Nintendo clearly realise this, and play soothing music and reassure you by showing you what data is being carried over (by Pikmen obviously...!).

Only have Nintendo Land, but was having immense fun today, with my kids and one of their mates, on the Mario chase and Luigi ghost games. The youngest was loving being the ghost for the first couple of games before we figured out what to do, and then was taking immense strops when we got him.

Great fun, really clever concept, hopefully someone will come up with a good use for it, but I think the release rate will mirror the Wii. There might be the odd third party coming up with a title that makes good use of it, as Boom Blocks did.

Lovely wee machine and the OS/Miiverse is cracking, when's the patch to speed things up coming?

Maybe it's because I had to wait up to 20mins for games to load on Vic20/C64 but load times don't seem that bad to me, slow yep but not intolerable.

It's ironic that they stuck with carts on the N64 to minimise load times, then used small DVDs on the then next gen Cube to avoid excessive load times, then they invented a console that didn't need big textures so didn't take an age to load games, then finally they just went 'fuck it', apparently.

Cubby didn't know how to turn off sigs!

Haha! I was thinking the same thing the other day. But, iirc, it's not actually the game load times that are in contention, it's the time between closing software and going back the OS and loading installed software. Admittedly some games have very poor initial load times, Nintendo Land being the worst in my experience, but runs ok once it's loaded up.

It's not that bad, perhaps a minority have had it worse than the rest of us. But it's always felt like the loading issue is a bit nit picky, it's not a big issue and much like Deckard1, doesn't deserve the attention it gets

Doesn't seem much worse than the other consoles tho, 360 can take an age to sign in, quick play is anything but and PS3 load times can drag on and the number of times I need to sign out and sign back into the PS store to see PS Plus content is irritating. I prefer the Wii U interface, nice and clean plus being able to navigate on pad is excellent. 360 is by far the best for patching tho.

You'd just wind up surfing the web in your underwear and complaining about both your lack of job and your backlog.

Have they brought out any new wiimote chargers for conductive use with Wii U? The original ones don't work any more. Different AC port. It would be nice to not have to take the silicone stuff off every time.
