    Amazon is fucking stupid. I can get the console delivered tomorrow, along with any games except NSMBU and ZombiU (which are the two I'm interested in). Despite being "in stock", and ZombiU being part of their bundle offer, each of those games can't be delivered until the 27th.

    Which makes the entire thing absolutely pointless. I may as well just shop around retail tomorrow and get everything I want in one go.

    Yeah Derblington, but the amazon price is actually quite decent. I paid 325 for the Premium console, Zombie U and Nintendoland.

    So first impressions of the controller are, it looks decent. Screen is a bit naff compared to my beloved Vita, but it's good enough. Touchscreen is responsive and there's plenty of other bits and bobs I wasn't expecting - mic, speaker, volume control, front facing camera.

    It's also light enough that it won't be annoying used as a standard controller but it doesn't feel cheap.

    If the update ever finishes I'll have a go on Zombie U.

    It's a decent price, but I want it for Xmas morning, and Amazon are refusing to do that.

    @Derblington

    I got mine at GAME (gasp!) a couple of weeks ago. I got the premium console, nintendo land, blops 2 (you could pick any game), a case for the gamepad, screen protector, extra stylus etc, all for 350. But you also get about 8 worth of points, which I used 24 hours later to order a 15 nintendo Eshop card off their site for 7.

    Not too bad for retail.

    \o/

    Yes mate, though I just went for the plain nintendo 15 one. I used it to buy Trine 2 \o/

    Points Cards = Dsi and Wii
    Eshop vouchers = 3DS and Wii U

    The best part of using the game points online is you can use every penny rather than in 2.50 chunks, and prices aren't actually that bad.

    @PhoenixFlames

    Trine 2 is actually really good. Graphics are quite stunning, even on the gamepad. I'd say it's better for bursts of an hour or so, rather than for playing for a long session, as the puzzle based nature of progression can become repetitive.

    And I thought Sony pricing was wrong.... The stuff on the wii store is absolutely bonkers. Why even list a 2d scroller Mario game for 50 quid? Is anyone going to buy that??!

    I read somewhere that it's Europe-wide pricing.

    GAME/Gamestop in Sweden for example regularly have games for 600kr (60ish), and discounting is a lot less common on the continent in general, so 50 is actually quite reasonable there.

    Retail games are massively over-priced, but you don't have to buy them. If they don't sell, the prices will come down.

    Metroid Prime trilogy came in-time for Christmas, didn't think it stood a chance xD I think Amazon just likes to panic you into opting for the premium shipping sometimes. I chose the super cheapo free "who knows when" shipping. Apparently did the job.

    Hmm, that's what I thought. However, the image from the GAME website suggests that eShop vouchers work on 3DS, Wii and DSi shops (presumably the ones they're showing haven't been updated to include the Wii U).

    Oh I've missed you Nintendo. 15 minutes of that pikiman garden thing in Nintendo Land with my 4 year old made me remember how Nintendo nail game play every time. Simple concepts, well designed, tonnes of gaming mechanics. My son got his first lesson in coop gameplay and basic controls. Awesome.

    Time to spend those hard earned coins on the next surprise which will most likely make him squeal in delight.

    Bloody hell, this is some software update. Is it just replacing the entire firmware? Bad form to release something in this state, surely they could have rolled out the updates over time.

    Amusing how so many people on twitter are surprised at how good Nintendoland is today :D

    Finally finished the advanced missions on Metroid, fighting two ridleys is one of the hardest things ever!

    Anyone know if the gamepad charger will charge a 3ds xl? Bought the wife a 3ds xl and didn't notice that it doesn't come with a charger (muppets!)

    Don't think I was given the option. Anyway, I forgot about transferring all Wii data too, will have to kick the boys off Skylanders to do that...

    Since I'm now slightly wankered, could someone explain the Nintendo ID thing? Is it the same account as in my Wii or 3DS?

    How do you switch between tv and gamepad? I know you can press tv button and then select the inputs etc.. but I thought it would be a single button press to do it. Also when doing this with the rayman demo, I don't think it switched properly as I couldn't play it properly. Could this be because the demo doesn't support it?

    @Singularity not sure. I created a new one Because I couldn't remember my details, then linked my club account to it. I am not going to transfer my wii stuff across so I don't suppose it matters too much

    Depends on the game as some require both screens.

    Cheers. Also, is there any way to turn off the gamepad screen for games that dont use it? I find it quite distracting
