I'm only gonna ask this once DM, and I apologise if it causes any offence, but are you a rent boy? Just you seem to buy EVERYTHING, and surely your NHS funds must have run out by now?

I can't help if you're over sensitive about being wrong.
You can certainly help by consistently assuming my statements of opinion are being cited as fact and deliberately misinterpreting them.

You never used to be this actively hostile or troll-y, no idea why you've suddenly changed in the last month or two (and it's not just me you do it to), but it's not particularly a change for the better. You used to be better than this.
    lol

Can anyone point me in the right direction of some tech help as to why the Wii U has issues connecting to routers? (Wifi)

I can't find where I get the Club Nintendo points? I've got the Club Nintendo leaflet but no code. Any idea or wasn't there one?
I think that when you register the console it automatically does it through firmware or something. i don't have the leaflet either.
Yeah that's what I think too. It's one of the things that I mentioned yesterday because I thought it was odd to start with; you normally expect some sort of registration process.
I done this this yesterday after not finding a code link your club to the Nintendo ID and it will appear some hours later then just do the survey and the points are yours

Os is bare bones until you do the update, all game updates can be done in the background.

    Fix: http://kotaku.com/5961600/if-your-wii-u-wont-connect-to-your-wifi-router-heres-what-to-do

As to why, probably because Nintendo fears the internet.

Erm no (I'm currently a house-husband), It was my birthday yesterday so the WiiU and games were a present, and no (respectively)

Mines lovely. Although it depends on the game. FIFA looks a bit off but it still mighty impressive

Mine seems ok so haven't delved into settings, but is there some sort of brightness/contrast/colour option in a menu somewhere?

Mine's great. In fact, I don't see why some have an issue with it only being SD, it looks really good.

Oh, of course, it's got nintendo written on it. Silly me!

It appears, from what I've read and my experience, to be largely isolated to specific models (such as the Netgear one commonly used by Virgin) rather than router manufacturers as a whole (my own, different Netgear model works fine with the machine) or routers as a whole (I've tried it with three different routers and no problems).

As to why that is or whether it's fixable I have no idea. Someone more up to speed on the tech, such as Dirtbox, may be able to add some light to the question.

@RyanDS You know something's not right when you start quoting yourself!

Finding the pad to be great, responsive, though I've not actually played any games on it yet, just messed around on the mii verse drawing pics, which is actually surprisingly fun.
Being a resistive screen takes some getting used to though, browser is actually quite decent.

Does anyone know if the virtual console games bought for the Wii will eventually be moved to the Wii u menu?

I used a GameCube pad on my wii but that's not available and the pro controller doesn't work on the Wii menu. So I can't play my SNES games :(

Resistive means you have to put a little pressure on the screen to get a response - right?

I like that. My phone is like a thousand years old and has a resistive screen (if my above definition is accurate) and I think it's a good thing. You can touch the phone inadvertently w/o it going crazy and calling half my family.

I could've sworn I read that VC games were playable on the Gamepad.

Yeah. In some ways it's better than capacitive because it's not as sensitive to accidental contact. Both methods have their own benefits and drawbacks.
