Every single midnight launch I've been to, I've gone home and gone straight bed.

I don't think I'm cut out for this gaming lark.

    Get bent.

I've only ever done it once, and that was for the Wii.

I also went home and went to bed.

Thanks for posting that! I know it has been posted before, but considering how quickly this thread is moving, it'll easily get lost. I imagine it'll have to be posted again tomorrow, at least a few more times.
Couldn't find the original post but thanks!

Yeah mine didn't get to my Virgin super hub either, but did with this guide.http://kotaku.com/5961600/if-your-wii-u-wont-connect-to-your-wifi-router-heres-what-to-do.

Not the best of starts! :-(

@MARKIV thanks - got it working. I don't get it, was it a glitch with the wii u assigning the next available IP address? Bloody madness that it doesn't work as expected in this day and age!

I thought this thread was bad but the 1,2ghz page comments are horrendous. 50 people who know nothing about chip architecture arguing with 2 or 3 that do.

Wish I had a WiiU to distract me from it!!

Yeah it's a bloody car crash in there!

I've no Wii U to distract me either, but I'm gonna have a blast on DKCR before heading off to pick up Far Cry 3 (and I'm deliberately only bringing the price of the game with me, lest i leave the shop with a Wii U under may arm... )

The nyko battery pack looks terrible sticking out the back for sure, but its the extra width and whether it will still sit on the charging cradle that makes it rubbish.

The Wii was horrendous, powerful or not.

The point is, that people seem to forget over and over and over is that your console can be weaker than the competition if the games are better or more inventive.

    THEY WERE NOT.

So you're left with poor graphics AND poor games for the most part.
Agree and reason why i am looking forward to what gets released on Wii U.

Next gen may lok better but its time games moved on from just looking great

Definitely not getting mine from iwantoneofthose today. Hasn't despatched yet. Not too fussed though, I'm supposed to be selling it if I can resist opening it!

I'd be interested to know how much I could sell the bundled game for on its own. Batman. 30?

I doubt there's any on here, maybe lurking..but anyone in the Channel Islands, make sure you make your location UK. NIntendo has Jersey and Guernsey in there, but after a bit of confusion, I discovered it doesn't allow you on the Nintendo network from there, have to put UK and it works.

Can you expand the system memory with an SD card or does it have to be USB hard drive? I read somewhere that SD only works for backwards compatibility stuff.

How are people finding the screen on the pad?

Mine seems muted, with washed out colours and seems to have a yellow tinge.

I seem to remember Iwata saying installed games won't run on USB due to them being 'unstable'
    Could be wrong.

Width? I don't follow. Do you mean height/depth? The slight height increase is because it has a built-in stand. There is no depth increase unless you pull out the back of the stand to watch something, at which point, why would it matter? None of it gets in the way of the GamePads ergonomics, and addresses the lightness issue of the device.

Again, you wouldn't even be looking at the back, so its looks are kind of irrelevant. You just have to realise it's a multi-functioning device, not just a battery.

Also, why would you need it to sit in the charging cradle? It uses the original GamePad power adaptor, and as we've already established, you wouldn't need the cradle for an idle prop, because it stands. I think it's really useful for when you're watching a stream/youtube/netflix/wii chat around the house (kitchen/dinner/coffee table) and out of reach of the charge-cradle because you're in a different room. Plus it means you can play games at those locations without having to keep it held up, should you choose to.

All 4 for that price? Sounds like a bargain. Going to Blockbuster on the way back from work just to see what's what and all that.

I really hope I won't be posting "I just came in for Far Cry 3 and ended up with all THIS!!"

The Resident Evil films. I'm one of the reasons they keep making them.
