    If it has to be near the tv when you play then surely 3DS or PSV are still the better choice for gaming without a big tv

    Product may work but the presentation was poor.

    Not sure they even know what they are releasing. If they do know they certainly didn't bother telling us!

    I have a question which I think many will share. How do the games get on to the controller/console? Downloadable only? Through the Wii somehow? Wii-U has somewhere to put in a disk? Perhaps it's just 'magic.' Confused.

    It is. It's not just a new controller for Wii, it's a brand new, HD capable console.

    The controller is not the console, there is a new console there.

    They kept that pretty quiet. :-/ Did they even show it? I saw a console beneath the tv on one of the videos but it looked like a Wii so I assumed it was that.

    Did people not watch the presentation properly? Of course it's a new console, why would Iwata mentioned backwards compatibility? And how the fuck would it be HD, and be able to run all those 3rd-party games that were shown?

    Im guessing you insert the disc into the Wii and then with the additional processing power in the WiiU (What a frickin ridiculous name) so when you stream it over it appears in HD. HD shouldnt be too hard to accommodate on such a small screen. The resolution will be much lower than needed on a TV
