Anyone know anything about when the editor and that are released for this? Am keen but wanting to wait for cool mods before I get really stuck in.

Well, I'll follow up my last post with my impressions having stumped up my £15.

It's amazing. Firstly there's a good variety of loot and plenty of it, there is a good amount of oranges dropping for me which is nice and a generous stash to pass stuff around.

The enemies are interesting and they seem to have avoided reskinning so far. The character classes are cool and look flexible, creating some really tasty outlander and engineer builds at the moment.

The story is obviously fairly forgettable but the game moves along at a nice pace and is engaging and addictive, I just hope it keeps this up all the way through.

The only way I'd say it doesn't live up to Diablo is in the multiplayer, it doesn't really match the almost seamless drop-in-drop-out goodness in D3.

To sum up, it's pretty awesome. Well worth £15 of anyone's money.

Wow. 3rd post in a row. Maybe I should get my own thread!!

Anyway, finished it now, 32 hours I think, wondering what to do next.

    - Play through with a new character? Or
    - Do NG+ and mess around on mapworks? Is it any good?

What did you peeps choose? If, indeed, there is anyone out there!!

I played through as an Outsider. Kinda thought this thread would be a little busier, given how many people said they were disappointed with Diablo.

This was good! Thinking about doing NG+, because apparently you can still access Mapworks from town hubs in NG+.

Just finished my 1st playthrough on veteran. Played as an engineer, took 23 hours. Loads of fun,. Need to take a break from it now though.

I've started again as an Engineer, and I'm loving it.

Granted, a large part of the reason why I'm loving it is that my Outsider put a unique greathammer in the shared stash for the Engineer to use. It has almost 350dps and absurdly low stat requirements of 42 STR and VIT. So the Engineer is using it at level 10 and gibbing everything in sight. \o/

I've been playing an Engineer too, lots of fun! Or it was, when I still had time to play. :|

Yeah, finished it with an engineer a while back. I started NG+, but I am rather overpowered, so I lost interest. Started an elite hardcore playthrough with an Outlander, but I didn' last long. :p

Has anyone found a legendary item, btw.? There's an achievement for it, but I've only seen tons of uniques.

Nope, no deal on legendaries. Didn't know they existed tbh.

It took me my first completion with an Outlander to realise that I wanted to be a mage so I've re-rolled as an Embermage and am trying to speed run through to Mapworks goodness. Wish me luck!!

Come across some enemies that don't die when they run out of health in the area just outside of the second town? Anyone know what's that about?

The Mage is ace most things either freeze or teleport away when they hit mine.

Getting a bit pissed off with this - so many aspects aren't thought through properly, and their patches do absolutely nothing when it comes to balance. Armour and vitality is more or less useless for my engineer as it scales awfully, but in the end it doesn't matter because I am basically invulnerable due to the Forcefield skill - which scales according to its level, not my armour. That means I can basically run around naked and it doesn't make a blind bit of difference for my survivabilty. The game might drop nice loot, but apart from weapon DPS, it hardly matters.

NG+ on veteran: activate Forcefield, press Emberquake button repeatedly, watch everyone die, collect useless loot. Meh.

Yeah, Forcefield is quite overpowered. If they scaled it according to armor, it would be less so. But then I die in a few hits.

I have to agree about the lack of balancing, but I'm enjoying the game anyway. Hopefully they'll address some of the issues in a later patch. For all of Diablo 3's faults, it was clear that Blizzard was constantly thinking about these things.

Just started playing this with a friend - really fun.

We're roughly lvl 20 (I think?) and I'm pretty sure we're near the end of the first act.

I'm an engineer, he's an embermage.

Do people still play this game on the boards here? Wouldn't mind a few impromptu co-op sessions (though the game does seem pretty easy - started on Normal).

Also pets - genius invention. Can't believe it's not been copied yet.

I still play it. Got an Outsider fairly leveled up (on second playthrough), and an Engineer a bit less leveled up.

Finally picked this up on Steam. Does anyone have any recommended mods to install from the Steam Workshop?

Think I'll just switch everything off.

I started on hard, I certainly don't have Jedi skills and I got on fine with it.

RE Mods: Synthesis mod is pretty nice, the rest I'd say are personal preference.

Any news on if/when there will be a mac version of this? I love the original and really want to give this a crack. Can't be arsed to go through Diablo 3's story again for a long, long time.
