One person reporting that the 809mb patch is just fixes, a Dev said earlier that they were uploading 5gb of assets but the download would be about 1gb so we shall see.
I'll find out in roughly a minute and a half.
Edit* Seeing armoured vehicles(tanks ect) but no jet :\

Continued memory optimizations. Note that today’s attempts have a risk of stack_overflow crashes to desktop (without noticeable error outside of RPT). We’d like know about it happening, so we can tweak the values.

There seems to be two variants of the Buzzard, one for aerial combat and the other for CAS.
So glad the Buzzard has flares.
I've just been flying it at full speed (~700kmph) across the deck. Far less load stuttering than I expected.
The self propelled artillery thing is insane. It has about 6 kinds of rounds and 5 categories of distance on the artillery computer.
So many new toys to play with. \o/
Take the Hatchback Sport out for a spin on the highway past the main Airport. 300+ kph

Blastcore Mod for Arma 3 coming after release. My Video Card struggles enough already but this looks essential.
I find the ARMA 3 explosions very nice but Blastcore really does add to the atmosphere of A2 and the above video does look ultra shiny, in A2 they didn't hurt performance too much as often FPS was bottleneck-ed elsewhere anyway.

Pilots should grab the Close Air Support mission if they haven't already, it's probably the best thing I've grabbed off the workshop.
Yeah that's ace. I'm working on a series of Jet Missions at the moment.
In the meantime I made a Rally.

I wonder how long it'll be until someone mods the ArmA II maps and campaigns into this. I never played as much of those as I would have liked, and I feel I may now be less likely to do so.

If you're like me then the majority of your play is either COOP or Singleplayer so the AI is important. Please vote up this post, the AI needs fixing and BIS seem insistant to tweak around the edges and not fix it.
Apart from all those user generated single player missions.
It has loads of single player content.
1008 missions on the Workshop are tagged Singleplayer. Plenty to be getting on with.
