A bulgarian nut job walked up to a English woman in a supermarket in Tenerife , pulled out a machette , stabbed her in the neck , then beheaded her in front of shoppers before walking out carrying the head by the hair.
What the hell is the world coming to?

You could have at least provided a link. Or are you the Bulgarian nut job and you're currently outside the shop in a showdown with the police?

    Heads will roll.

Everybody should just calm down a little bit and have a nice cup of tea.

Oh man this really happened? That's horrific.

No he's right. Nowadays you get at least one of these types of incidents a decade. Back when everyone was carrying around swords it never happened.

Yeah, there's a spate of beheading atm. Seriously, you've missed them? There was one in Basingstoke the other day.

Indeed, in a pub that would be acceptable behaviour. But a supermarket? Woe on us!
    WOE

"The security and the police had to hold people off - they were queuing up - they were trying basically to kick the hell out of the guy," he said.

    Precisely what should happen tbh.

I really do think that introduction of 'self service checkouts' will inevitably see an increase in staff decapitations.

Fucking horrifying! Whoever saw that/aftermath would be psychologically scarred for life. They'll never set foot into a supermarket ever again for starters..

Also that guy who was decapitated by the guy on the seat behind him on a bus in Canada. Horrifying, especially considering it was done in full public view.

Cubby didn't know how to turn off sigs!

Yet another reason to do your shopping online.

A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.

It seems pretty likely the guy has a major mental illness. He was wandering around claiming to be God prior to this according to another article. Shit for him. Shit for her. Shit for everyone involved.

I somehow doubt the press focus will be on the quality of the mental health care available prior to the event.

I know Eurogamer always manages to see the humour in bad news, but I don't know, this just seems too horrific to point fun at.

If it was my Mum I'd be pretty cut up about it. Since it's someone I don't know, it's a lot easier to be detached.
