So this comes out on the 20th May and some reviews are coming in

    Nintendo Power 9/10
    Now gamer (gamesTM) 8.8
    EGM 7.5

Heres a terrible trailer with real life people
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7S9Y4K9-_3c

Looks fun and seems like its got a lot of decent features (and some dodgy ones aswell)

I really can't wait for this. I prefer the simple combos and focus on positioning and reading your opponent that DOA brings. Graphics are stunning too, and it has a reasonable roster of characters.

It's alright, a simpletons fighter, which is it's strong point.

Street fighter 4s great and all but I had my fill last year on the PC. This will be my first DOA game so I am looking forward to it.
There are lots of clips for all the different modes cropping up on youtube.
The story mode, chronicles, actually looks strangely good, it has a sort of comic book feel to it.

Also the feature shown at the start of this video looks quite neat
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2y3mvqzRVyw
It shows you what you just pressed, the damage done, combo damage and other things. could be useful.
The photo bit halfway through that video just looks odd but it might end up being quite funny

I really want to get good at this, there are so many things I never really understood last time I played DOA2 on Dreamcast. Reversals, counters, careful positioning, juggling, knowing the arenas and not being distracted by tits.

It's a lot deeper than I thought back then, so I look forward to practicing and getting from "button bashing buffoon" all the way up to "has a vague change of blocking and countering if he's had his Shreddies".

read juggling as jiggling, I can't be brought anywhere.

I don't think anyone can blame you. It might not be a part of the fighting system as such, but there is jiggling. The jiggliest of jiggling. I wonder if it'll have independent breast jiggling from Xtreme 2? They'll probably stick with unified jiggling.

I wonder if it has accurate arse wiggle, important these days. I do have it on order, but I am a little worried, street fighter was very hard to control on it. Still it looks like it will be great fun. Also my first ever DOA.

    Doesn't SF4 have a training mode?

Personally I'd kill for a VF 3DS, but this will have to do for now.

Cubby didn't know how to turn off sigs!

It may seem simple on the surfcae but it's actually an incredibly complex fighter. The key to having fun is mastering reversals. You'll feel like Jackie Chan. If they've done this right. Each journey through story mode will unlock a new costume for the character you did it with. Survival mode also features unlockables and money that you beat out of your opponent. It has destructible levels that are normally multi tiered. So you can knock an opponent thorugh a wall and down a load of steps for instance. Normally these games run at 60fps (3d off I'd imagine) so they are silky smooth. The character roster is full of awesome fighters with great back stories and some are really quite attractive for computer game characters. There.

And apart from the bosses, every character uses a real martial arts. So no daft fireballs and long distance spamming.

The bosses don't really either but Tengu used to have a wind attack that was quite annoying.

Once you get the madder costumes happening, stuff like jumping up on your opponents shoulders with his/her face in your character's crotch before performing an elaborate takedown is all kinds of awesome.

@mal. Yeh SF4 has a training mode but I dont think it gives you as much data as that video shows. Maybe it does and I just missed it.

@DFawkes. Its got independent jiggling look at these http://youtu.be/X_Ki5foJi-c#t=25s
They have a life of there own

This comment from an IGN interview made me lol

IGN: What about this title is enhanced by the 3D effect?
Hayashi: I'll leave it to your imagination. I think that all of us men out there will not be disappointed.

Nice find, I could never find any footage to find out. Not that I looked for hours or anything. Or touched myself.

I forgot how ridiculously bouncy they were - I was always genuinely too busy enjoying the actual game. I never even tell the game I'm 99 years old, I'm always honest with it. Given last time I played would've been years ago, I should see the jiggly effect of my old age now :)

Just to clarify, I love the game for it's fighting system. The boobs are just a bonus. We're really being treated quite well to fighting game on 3DS, I do hope we get a Mortal Kombat game sooner or later. I can't see why not should DOA be a success, that combined with SFIVs strong sales show there's a market for them. Of course if DOA doesn't sell then maybe not.

I've read three of those reviews and not a single one mentions unlockable costumes. THE point of DOA games. I really hope they've not been dropped in favour of these figurines thingies..

Costume Get suggests that costumes are DLC. I blame capcom for this frankly hideous trend. I like unlocking costumes goddamnit!

I think women all have 4 to unlock and men 3.
Then there is the DLC which will download one a day to your SD card for 34 days.

This video shows most of the ones that are already on the cart

A blog just about videogame character costumes? Incredible! :) I like unlocking stuff too, but I also like free dlc.
