This could be good. But I don't want another game that's as similar to the previous one as AC:B was to AC2.

I dont get why they insist on releasing a game every year, the quality always dips eventually.

Why not a new character for Constantinople? I've still yet to get Brotherhood so I won't be getting this until it's cheap. I really hope they have a second-team working on Assassin's Creed 3.

The screenshots didn't give me much hope that this would be much different from previous iterations (a bunch of indescript buildings that you can't enter).

Having said that, the revamping or not of the combat system will go a long way in my purchase decision.

The simple answer to that question is that Ezio's story isn't done with yet. Neither is Altair's and it sounds like they are finally going to give him some closure in this title.

This will be what the 4th AC game in 4 years, and you just know that they not gonna stop there. If they took the a break the games could be way better and 94, 95 metarated instead of what they are now. The engine is looking dated as well, GAH ill wait for some previews before i make a proper judgement.

I can't stop thinking about the song now...

    Istanbul was Constantinople
    Now it's Istanbul, not Constantinople
Been a long time gone, Constantinople
Why did Constantinople get the works?
That's nobody's business but the Turks

Still haven't played Brotherhood, so i'm not too fussed about this one. Ezio felt done and dusted to me.

Looking forward to it immensely. They've improved in quality and variety every iteration so far so it would be nice to see some positivity.

Can't wait! From the screenshot, it looks as if the hidden blade has some kind of hook attachment - maybe it will be used to assist the free-running? Could be cool.

I wonder if we're going to see an AC:3 at all, or whether this will be the final game?

I understand the new game every year comment, but have to say they have always improved over the previous version so at the mo it is all good. Excellent series.

When we do get a proper ACIII I would like a diff time zone however, Tudor England or Victorian London please.

@Onny, final game ? never mate not for a good while/cash yet ;)

Brotherhood was fantastic and can't wait for this. I do agree though that I'm a little bored of Ezio so hopefully this will be the last part of his story before an AC3.

If the games weren't great I could understand the complaints with the yearly updates, but the fact is they keep getting better so long may it continue. :)

I`m with this. One of my favourite series of games these and i would still be happy to go back to Ezio again, although a change of pace/time zone would also be appreciated it would be nice to finish off Ezio`s story properly.

"According to Joystiq, Ubisoft's initial shipment of Assassin's Creed: Revelations for PlayStation 3 will also include the 2007 original. We've asked the publisher whether the offer is limited to the US or also applies to the European release, and will update when we hear back."

Ubisoft are putting together a video feature to celebrate their 25th anniversary and the release of Assassin's Creed: Revelations.

They've offered Eurogamer readers the chance to get involved with this by putting questions directly to Ubisoft Executive Producer, Sebastien Puel.

If you have a question regarding Assassin's that you'd like to see answered by Sebastien then either pop over to our facebook page or leave your question in here.

"sounds like a public school ponce"

I have a question - With AC2 and AC: Brotherhood following the same main character, how are they are ensuring that the narrative and setting in AC: Rev remains fresh?

How can that little pile of hay cushion a fall from upwards of 100ft? Doesn't seem too realistic.

I actually have a question: how many 'core' assassins creed games am I going to have to commit to to see the story out?

I dont mind if this particular story plays out in 2013's edition and then AC3 kicks off an entirely new storyline, with new protagonists but I would kind of like to know if im in for the long haul.

TL;DR: How many games until the story is resolved?
