    World's smallest SD HTPC/emulator machine!

Amazing bit of engineering - and the price, too.

I can't help but wonder how it connects to the internet. Might need a usb wifi dongle plugged in as well, which could be tricky.

    The eMagic!

Does it mention HDD size? Didn't see that in the article.

Probably about 2-3gb of flash memory, but it isn't meant to be used for anything more than document and OS storage.

That was a terrible, terrible film. And a slightly less terrible, but still awful, book.

SD card for storage I gather, although USB could give it a HDD.

    Someone's thinking of a NAS, aren't they ;)

Right, right... HDD was the wrong term. The question still remains - although, it seems to have been answered by DB.

Heh, sorry. Having read back my reply it does look like I was correcting you. I was only stating that it mentioned an SD card as storage, but I do think DB is spot on.

That is aces. If it's flash memory, could the 'HDD' space be taken up to say 64GB etc? Or is there some other technical issue standing in the way limiting space? It is amazing though.

I can see some fuckers like Google stealing this idea mind...

    http://www.raspberrypi.org/

Listed spec here, although not high level architecture or anything like that yet.

Maybe you can get more by looking at the ARM11 spec?

I'm totally going to buy one, I don't care about the specs or the fact I'll probably never use it more than once, it's genius.

Wow. That's fantastic. Bluetooth and maybe a second USB port for 25 would even better. HTPC controlled by Wiimote or whatever, 3G surfing via phone tethering, file server, it's a great effort.

I'd love one of these, I've always fancied messing around with Ubuntu a bit more.

You know you can install Ubuntu onto a USB stick and boot from that, don't you?
