Didn't like that Castlevania demo too much. Somehow feels a bit gimmicky and unresponsive compared to previous games.

So if you could only recommend 3 games from the eshop (not including VC or full price games) what would they be?

Bear in mind I played and finished (and loved) VVVVVV and got a fair way into Pullblox last time I had a 3DS.

@Murbal VVVVVV is the best game on there, but I'd also recommend Mutant Mudds (it's rock hard though), Picross e and Mighty Switch Force.

Fallblox, which is better than the original, in my opinion. Denpa Men: They Came By Wave. Crimson Shroud.

You're not wrong there! Really unforgiving but I love the style and sense of perspective/depth.

Spent most of yesterday evening playing through Mega man 3- awesome game, quite tough in places but definitely worth the money.

I might grab mega man 2 & 3. Loved those back in the day. Particularly 2.

I don't think you can go wrong with either- 2 is easier and I prefer the stage music, but 3 has a better weapon set overall and is a longer campaign.

I'm hesitant with the virtual console at the minute. I've got both a 3DS and WiiU and would like to see some kind of cross platform purchase system made available.

I've still to complete the first Mega Man, anyway. I'm right at the end!

I know what you mean but this is Nintendo we are talking about so cannot see that happening. Think I might grab mega man 2&3 later. Less than a tenner. Can't complain.

I find the first one hard to replay compared to 2 and 3- maybe it's because I played it after them and it just feels slightly odd in comparison!

Lol exactly the same as me. Back in the NES days I'd bypassed the original and went straight to 2. At a later date I went back to 1 and didn't like it at all. I honestly can't remember playing MM3

Hah, I played the Gameboy ones first, so the NES ones feel like luxury upgraded versions to me ;-)

It says exchane songs via the internet. I hope that means they can be played on other devices.

Some stuff is on sale in the EU eShop:

    Gunman Clive €1.49
    Mighty Switch Force €4,49
    Mutant Mudds €5.99
    Art of Balance €4.99
    Minigolf Touch €3.49
    Cute Witches €1.99

Not sure what the UK prices are.

Art of Balance is more than worth it's value before the sale, so I strongly recommend that one! Gunman Clive is very well made and references a ton of classic NES games, but it's on the easy side. Even on the hardest difficulty you'll reach the end in half hour. Might be worth £1.50 though!

£4.09 for Mighty Switch Force. Was always going to pick that up so very tempted at a sale price. Good price for Mutant Mudds too - almost wish I'd waited now for that but it's a very good (albeit f***ing hard) game.

How long is the sale on for? Think I'll finally pick up Mutant Mudds if it's around £4.

@Murbal Nah, played through the demo a few times though. Looks great but I felt the £9 price was a tad too steep.

Looks like the sale ends on the 25th, so plenty of time left. Might pick up Mighty Switch Force and Gunman Clive as well.

Looks like we've got another good week of sales on the eShop from thursday. Crimson Shroud and Liberation Maiden are both going for £4.49. Aero Porter is going for £2.69 and if you're comfortable with retail releases being tied to your console, Virtues Last Reward is going for £19.99.

Aero Porter! Brilliant, I've been pretty close to buying that a couple of times. Less than £3? Deal :-)
