    Well, that was weird.

I just got to The BNK3R and was absolutely dreading the fight. But as soon as it landed the first time, I insta–killed it before it even summoned its first set of guns. Then even weirder than that, it killed it so hard that it died on the spot on the right hand side of the arena, shitting all of its loot onto the floor of the world below. Never seen that happen before.

Oh, and it is still firing rockets whilst dead. O_O

Yeah it's a glitch with the Bore skill.

Odd, I've had the Bore skill since I started and have never had that happen before. Not that I'm complaining, as it made what I thought would be a tough fight exceptionally easy!

You can use Bore to instantly kill Hyperius, it's also very good against Vehicles like Buzzard and Bikes. It also stops bullets from bouncing back at you from enemies that reflect bullets.

Great skill, pity about the rest of the sniper tree being pretty pants.

How do you kill Hyperius instantly with it? Lining up his minions so you shoot through them?

Group the robot minions around Hyperius with a singularity grenade then unload with a weapon with a lot of projectiles (Double Harold works best).

Takes a bit luck and a little practice but it's quick and effective way of killing/farming him.

I'm playing as zero... Initially went down the melee route but realised I don't really use it very often.

So now I've put it all into sniping and seeing it really impact the way I play... Feel a bit over-powered all of a sudden! The gun accuracy skills really help and good that it applies to all weapon types.

Yep - I prefer a sniping approach to Zer0. Better still - I found a Blue lvl 44 Sniper Rifle with 10k damage (nearly twice my existing rifle). Wih my Amp shield and critical damage bonuses, I should be getting 50k+ critical hits :D

This finally clicked with me over the weekend after getting bored with it initially on release.

Playing as Zero at about level 20 and I've got 5 of these golden keys to use. When is the best time to use them? Am I better off waiting to hit 50?

@magicpanda I had 11 keys so used one at about level 19... Got an awesome smg that still deals twice as much damage as good smgs at level 23. I reckon it won't become obsolete/average for another 4/5 levels... Maybe even more.

Soooooo, I guess my point is, use them sporadically!? Every 8 levels maybe? It's also luck of course, what you get. If I got a shotgun for example I would hardly use it.

Also, search online for the shift codes, some of them are still active.

Edit: Alternatively, save them up and get a shit load of awesome weapons when you're maxed out!

@magicpanda - keep an eye on this thread (or follow Borderlands 2 on Facebook/Twitter) as Gearbox often post new Shift Codes for more Golden Keys.

I'be probably got 15 with my main character, and used a few at lvl 30, a few more at 40 and another couple at 45. It can be quite easy to get over-levelled (especially if you play the DLC), so it's sometimes nice to give your character some gear at your current lvl, rather than 3-4 below you.

Right now I'm at level 50, going to do some DLC before going to the Ultimate thing. I think any equipment drops will be capped at 50 until I do, though. (which doesn't really bother me)

As msuch as I'm enjoying TVHM, I think I'll carry on until I get to lvl 50 (currently at 46), finishing the Torgue and Hammerlock DLC along the way. I'd rather have a go at playing as either Gaige, Maya or Salvador before I try UVHM.

    Thanks Latin and FlyingPig.

DLC wise, is that stuff all level capped or do they scale?

Generally scales - I've also found that they get tougher in the order which they were released: Captain Scarlett is pretty straightforward, Torgue is tough, Hammerlock is nails.

I dunno, I found Torgue much tougher than the Hammerlock one.

If anyone is going through UVHM and can't be arsed farming their favourite gear you can scale it to your current level using the Borderlands 2 save editor.

    @magicpanda

Use them sparringly in playthrough 1, as good loot will last a while before becoming obsolete. In TVHM, you'll be changing your guns for lower rarity, higher level kit more often. So use them where you know you had a difficulty spike before.

I can't even be bothered to type the code in half the time anymore, the reward isn't good enough. It's usually just junk for me.

It's annoying how many of the weapon types in this game are useless by design. I don't even know why they exist in the game. For example, Jacobs assault rifle. They're so shitty and nobody wants to have to pull the trigger for every single shot of an assault rifle, I don't even understand the point of them. Same can be applied to Maliwan handguns, dart guns, splatguns. The system really was far better in the previous game, where the special abilities were a random part on the gun instead of standard to every one of that type.

Jakobs Assault Rifles can be awesome, use them more like a Semi Auto Sniper and aim for the face since they have a massive critical hit bonus and Maliwan handguns are accurate, powerful and always elemental.

It's all about what parts and accessories the guns spawns with.

I'm yet to find a good one. Maybe one of the uniques or legendaries is good, but over 5 level 50 characters I'm yet to get any use from a regular maliwan handgun, and I do still keep trying to use them. They're always weak and run out of ammo after three shots. I actually like the design of them a lot, but I find you're better off just using a Jacobs revolver + slag. I still occasionally find a maliwan handgun and think it's going to work for me, but nope.

Shock and Slag Maliwan pistols are generally the best, and gives them more purpose.

Go get a Rubi from the Rakkaholics quest. One of the most useful pistols in the game!

Started a new game with Zer0. Only up to level 11 but he's quite a boring one so far compared to the gunzerker and mechromancer classes. Their skills are really enjoyable and effective early on, but Zer0 doesn't seem to do much, at least this early in the game. Some of the later skills seem interesting so will stick with it, but I'm really, really tired of having to constantly track down ammo and health after having the gunzerker regenerate everything.
