I actually really enjoy it solo. Annoying when co op and some loot bastard Hoover swoops across stealing everything. Loved pirate and torque dlc, enjoyed hammerlock one. I'm currently level 7 siren and her ability much more enjoyable than zeros.

Love the end credits song. I need to use a bit of wiki this time as first fun found next to bugger all secret stuff. Only found two legendary items.

Damn, the bit to let you get to flyboy is a bit annoying. Corrosive sniper and rocket launcher (plus turret) are not quite getting me there yet.

I'd be ok without the time limit.
Gone away to level up a bit first so i can hit harder.

Thanks for the offer Mayhem, I have you on my FL, but will try again later in the week and see how I go before I panic.

It was really annoying me last night though. I died quite a few times (at level 42) due to getting downed and then not being able to kill one of the flying sumbitches for a second wind.

Or I timed out trying to kill the waves ofescort buzzards having grabbed the required bling. I don't think my corrosive weapons were quite powerful enough and I seemed to run out of rockets too. Mostly due to poor aim on my behalf.

I hope having levelled up once more it will help me hurt them more quickly to be able to do it next time. If not, then sheesh......

I don't suppose anyone has come across these people online who seem to have a weapon which has an insane amount of rate of fire or damage or whatnot? I've bumped into a few which seem to be able to take down bosses like Hyperious the invincible in a matter of seconds. It's great to join to watch and farm for weapons and crystals but I wonder what's going on, whether it's a mod or a glitch or something.

To expand on my learned colleague's rather brief response, The Bee is a legendary shield dropped by Hunter Hellquist, the Hyperion radio broadcaster. It's not very strong, it has a slow recharge delay, but its strength is that it's an amplify damage shield with zero penalty cost, so as long as you take no damage every time you hit has a big bonus. So it makes sense to couple it with a weapon with high fire rate to maximise DPS but where you can strike from an appreciable distance. Its low strength and long recharge delay make it a high risk but high reward strategy.

I know about the Bee as I have one myself but these people seem to have a extortionate amount of RoF and can take down bosses incredibly quickly.

No. I was just about to say that myself, that now the Bee is nerfed for Tediore reloads and the Conference Call shotgun, Evil Smasher is where it's at... or the Bee + Double Penetrating Harold or Sand Hawk.

Well, it really does break the game for me. No fun for me if I just one-shot everything with a smasher-enhanced pistol or whatever.

But some people like that! Good for them!

My guess is a powerful rocket launcher with the smasher exploit, maybe combined with the bee or something.

Until a few days ago I was capped at level 50 on my first character (Zer0) but waiting for a raise in the level cap before continuing. When it didn't come with the latest DLC I said sod it, get to PT2.5 so I can fight bosses for top level loot. So I finished TVHM two nights ago and continued...

Yesterday night two vending machines offered me legendary weapons. I was shocked to see the first one (Legendary Hunter Mod, was 50 thou short, wanted to weep) and utterly flabbergasted when the second came up.

Is this a fluke? Should I be trying to rake it in so I can afford these because more will show up?

As with most Orange drops, it's pure luck. I have two 50s and several other characters, and have never seen one in a vending machine.

Can't harm to carry some space dollars with you though, although if you have a lot it can really hurt when you die. I just wouldn't bank on seeing a vending machine Orange again.

You could always grind the Tier 3 Bar Brawl in Mr Torge's expansion. At least that guarantees you a lvl48 Legendary. And a lvl48 Harold or Bonus Package is nothing to be sniffed at.

Finished the main stuff for Torgue last night. It was a lot of fun. Who knows how I got stuck with Flyboy's bling quest last time. Even the final bosses were a skoosh this time. Got some rather nice purple and blue loot too.

I tried to do the Pete's bar brawl round 3 a couple of times, but failed miserably to kill them all in the alloted time. I think I might have to wait a bit there. I got it down to the last enemy before running out of time too, which was annoying. I may need to alter my set up/tactics or change some items around to see if that helps.

All the loot and cash is nice though, so I don't feel too bad. :)

How is the raid boss in this? Pyro pete ok to solo, or does it really require a team to manage it easily?

Me and my Commando friend killed Terramorphous for the first time last night. Of course he dropped the Mechromancer mod, much to the digust of my Gunzerker and my friend.

Tempted to do Verm this weekend but a) appears to be a complete pain in the arse to spawn and b) Terra took us forever.

It really confuses me when I watch Youtube Videos and people are running about quite merrily on TVHM. I have a relatively low 41k shield and 69k health and I still get absolutely battered.

That's about where my assassin is shield and health wise... the videos might be done before certain things were patched for example.

Verm is not that tough to spawn (unless you're trying to do it solo). He's also not that hard to beat since you can hide in the shed to avoid him. It's definitely worth attempting, he's hilariously huge and nowhere near as frustrating to fight as Terramorphous. Hope you're luckier than I've been with the drops though..

TVHM felt quite difficult at first, then quite comfortable, and then at the end got pretty difficult again. I ended up re-speccing, doing the central tree to get at the kunai and putting the rest into bloodshed to get health and shield regen skills. In TVHM, too often I wasn't quite melee killing an enemy in stealth, so couldn't chain kills. The kunai is a compromise: either put them all into a badass or give multiple enemies each a kunai and melee to finish (the latter takes some skill to do it in the time window).

I think the early and late difficulties were because I needed weapons closer to my level, and at the beginning I had the maximum that PT1 would give me (30?32?) and at the end I needed to find top level loot to face off with level 52 enemies.

@Vortex808 - Just to check - you know you only have to kill the Super Badasses, not everyone in the bar?

Hahaha. No I didn't! I thought I had to waste them all.

    /o\

Maybe I should read the mission description more carefully. :)

@Vortex808 - Didn't want to sound patronising! I did the same thing first time :S You have to shoot-up a random bad guy to kick the fight off, then Super Badasses spawn ever 20 seconds or so from five different doors (two on the top level, three on the bottom). Once you get used to where to look for them spawning from, it can get pretty quick. I often end up with 40s+ spare.

It's worth noting that as well as the 20 tokens you get for the quest reward, the Super Badasses themselves can drop tokens. The more players you have in your party when attempting the brawl, the more SBAs it will spawn, and the more tokens you'll get. It's also worth noting that Rats can steal tokens from fallen SBAs, so it can be worth killing all of them before you reset the mission.

During the Verm event (just before Hammerlock dlc came out) we found that it was quite tough to get Varkids to evolve with only two players, but a lot easier with three. Not sure if that's still the case in normal play though.

Yeah it gets easier the more people you have. I've only ever played two player and found we'd get him to spawn in around 10 minutes. It's not so bad cause even if you don't get Verm, you'll have other huge varkids to fight which also drop good loot. The trick is to make sure you keep them constantly aggro'd, which you can do by shooting the ground near to them.

If you trying to spawn Verm without four players and have the pirate DLC. I suggest visiting either Hyperius or Gees arena. As soon as enter their respective arenas the game will scale to four players. This will last until you save & quit.

This makes spawning Verm a lot easier, however it will make Verm and his varkid family much much tougher.
