Will ignore most side quests from now then.

Jeez, this game is huge. Level 27 I think and near the end of pirate dlc. Have a crazy amount of ignored quests now. Must take ages to do all missions. I have no idea how long I been playing but I must be twenty hours minimum.

Took an hour to get bane and then quickly realised it really wasn't worth it, funny but not practical.

Jesus that gun is hilariously stupid, but yeah I'm on my third play through and with the exception of the story missions I don't think I've replayed a mission yet.

I haven't even touched the DLC yet. Its all downloaded and ready to go though.  Think I'll have a crack at that with gaige after PT1

Tried to do all the quests on my first playthrough for the achievement, but missed a couple. Although, still not done the raid boss at the end which probably counts? Playing through again in TVHM and only bothering with about 1/3 of them. I'm trying to do just enough to get to lvl 50 around about the end of the story.

What I'm wondering though is when I should do the DLC in TVHM? I did the piratey one on my first playthrough, but went onto TVHM before trying out Torgue. Should I leave it until 50 for better loot, or is it worth having a crack now (level 43)? Guess the new one's out next week too.

True Vault Hunter Mode ie. new game plus, second playthrough, starting the story again with your game-beating character.

  • Deleted user 9 January 2013 09:35:41
Any benefit? I doubt I will as would rather play as siren.

Fair play to you for that. Some people like to go at it again with the same character class but carrying the equipment and skills gained from the first time around. Then there's the whole relatively tougher enemies and improved loot aspect.

I thought the same, but the added challenge and loot still keeps me hooked. I'm actually enjoying it as much as my first playthrough.

I've got a siren on playthrough 1 that I need to level in order to keep up with a friend, but can't stop playing my commando in TVHM at the moment.

Not usually one to bother with NG+ type things, especially with my horrific backlog. But this is all I really fancy playing at the moment.

Yes. Terramorphous counts. If you missed any, they should flag up as "undiscovered" in the mission log, if you didn't get them from job boards or find the yellow ! marks on the map (a couple require you to kill people first to get the quests).

I reached level 50 but hadn't finished TVHM. I'm leaving it until the level cap is raised, although I've played through the DLC on Normal mode for the achievements.

Can terramorphous et al be done solo by any chance? They raised his health recently didn't they? I don't know if I will try to do all the side missions because of things like this having to kill boss/raid bosses that are made to be really tough.

I still haven't even played with a group yet, since that was linked to the Badass rank reset wasn't it?

I need to get going with the Torgue DLC again. I started it, then got into attempted backlog clearing mode.

I'm sort of hoping that once I hit 50 I can drop back to normal mode and just cheese Terramorphous solo. Seemed like everything stops at level 30ish on a normal run, hoping that counts for him too.

I think he is always 2 levels higher than you, regardless of your level.

Terramorphous is always level 52 (even in normal mode) and scaled for a 4 player party (apparently all subsequent content stays levelled for 4 players until you quit). He can be soloed with the Evil Smasher glitch and a decent high capacity gun.

Bane was actually incredibly effective against BUNKER and a few other enemies if I recall. As well as being hilarious...

Thanks for the offer jambii, I may take you up on the offer some time if I fail miserably too often.

Crawmerax beat me every time I tried, so it'd be nice to get one of the sods!

You are seriously an absolute star for posting all the GK codes here!

There are some of us (me) who can't be arsed with all the twitter/facebook crap. So you sir are a legend :)

And on the topic of soloing raid bosses, how the fuck do all those online Gee vids make it look so easy? Not once does he ever stop short of the puddles and spam them with spears, which he does to me EVERY FUCKING TIME!

Is that the only way to get them? I randomly had 12 at the start of the game.

There's a list of currently active codes here. Think I've got about 15 now.

Not sure how else you get them, think we probably started with a few, might depends what version of the game you got though.

A few you get when first signing up to Shift, and the others were by way of apology for the Badass resets.

Just finished main story or pirate dlc, happily say the end boss is the worst in history. If it wasn't for the place you can stand and not be hit I would have snapped the disk.

What is with bosses health going back to full on re spawn and yet you don't get the ammo back that you used up draining their health!!?

Hmmmm? Whether I respawn, I find just about all my ammo replenished.

Strange. When I do I get a portion. So if I ran out of sniper rounds I get say 12 on re spawn. Okay in normal bits but when you against super boss you can't kill them. Unless you exploit other design flaws.

There's usually vending machines to restock at respawn points aren't there? I haven't played any of the DLC yet so don't know if it's true there.

All the eurogamers who actually play with each other on xbl rather than just post pseudointellectual pc handwringing bollocks on the forums, love the shit out of biggy.

  • Deleted user 10 January 2013 15:47:27
At this point there is but it is along way away and at the time of fighting the boss you haven't reached it yet.
