Registered 12 months agoI kinda wish there was a way to upgrade your favorite weapons to a more suitable level. Yeah, I get that you're supposed to move on and try other things, maybe hope for a higher level drop of the same thing down the line. But it would be nice to at least have an upgrade option. Just make it really expensive or something. -

Agreed. It sucks to have to let go of your signature weapon because its becomes useless

Registered 7 years agoDid bunker last night. Killed the big floaty thing on the rooftop. Showered with more loot than I've ever seen. A couple of rubbish greens and the rest white.
Did the bunker and afterwards opened the Mordecai chests... all pistols. Then, after AGES of staring at the chest behind the bars in Sanctuary, finally get into it and... pistols.
I'm not a lucky vault hunter, only one orange so far and I'm level 24. -

Granted, only two of them dropped off enemies I wasn't farming, but then the game does expect you to farm a bit if you want them. They are supposed to be rare... if they had a 25%-50% chance to drop you'd see more during a normal playthrough, but then they might as well remove blue and purple guns altogether. Several bosses take no more than 60 second to travel to and kill (plus another 30 seconds to save & quit and reload).
Heck you can kill the Zafords or Hodunks in less than ten seconds, and they drop nice oranges.
If takes maybe a minute and a half to travel to and kill Mobley and Gettle at the same time, and they both drop excellent oranges (check Youtube or the shortcut).

Yea I haven't really got up to speed on farming the bosses. imo it's stupid the way Gearbox have gone about implementing the loot in this game. Vanilla Borderlands got it spot on before the dlc made things go a bit crazy so why screw with a working formula. /shrug

Registered 9 years agoI'm beginning to become annoyed with out-levelling quests so fast. Pick up a few quests, do one of them and go up a few levels, all other quests in the area are now 'trivial'.
Any tips for avoiding this? It seems to be affecting quests that I haven't even activated. If you can see this, you're an idiot.

I was doing some opportunity stuff last night for minimal xp, I guess I should have kept with the main story instead of doing all the side quests I had gathered for a while before moving on.

I don't recall being this over-levelled in the first game when moving on with the story line, but that could be faulty memory on my part. I was over powered in playthrough 2, but I enjoyed the feeling of going through enemies like a hot knife through butter then.
Until I started Knoxx's DLC, man that was tough to begin with.

I'm finding the ratings for quests are a bit bullshit in this game anyway. A few days ago I tried a level 15 "Trivial" quest when I was level 28 and died over and over again because all the enemies in the area had scaled up to my level, and yet there was a level 28 quest I did just before that involved picking up four echo tapes in Sanctuary. Ridiculous.

That's quick, I haven't even finished the main quest yet. It's only been out a few weeks!
I thought I was doing quite well too, since I've been pouring as many hours into it as my family life will allow. I've even been having the odd extra sneaky session.

Registered 6 years agoyea, seems insanely quick, I'm not even finished PT1 yet either.
Suppose it keeps players on the hook and the game in the headlines though. -

Registered 12 months agoFinally, bloody finally got the legendary drop from MingeMong. MingMong. MidgeMong. Whatever.
It rocks my socks. By the time I got it the fighting had leveled up my Mechromancer to 11, making the next couple of bosses an absolute joke, but fucking hell this gun is good. -

Registered 3 years agoThe pirate dlc looks pretty cool. Any idea on what sort of level would be best to play it. I've just done the dam on the second playthrough, not sure if it would be best to finish it all again and reach max level before starting the dlc or just leaving it.XBL/ PSN/ Steam/ NNID - MatMan562

Registered 2 years agoThat is a shock release date. But i won't complain where some dlc comes out so late you have moved on to other games. If I am buried in XCOM,I will just buy this dlc when I need a break from that game kicking my arse.

Registered 8 years agoIt's not that soon for them though, didn't the game go gold a month or so before release and all those level designers will of been up to something in the meantime and it doesn't take a lot of character designers to do 1 class.
Also it took me 78 hours to hit the level cap and about 30-40 hours to finish PT1 so it's not as if they short changed us on content."If we hit that bullseye the rest of the dominoes will fall like a a house of cards, checkmate." Zapp Brannigan

Registered 10 years agoAll this talk about Oranges made me want to share my favourite. I have 3 not including those from quests. This little corrosive beauty I got from level 1 of Finks Slaughter House when I was lvl 19. It's still doing the business at lvl24. That burst when zoomed is a killer!
Check it out
