Registered 8 years agoIt worked out fine. The guys they gave it to had a really short development time and a limited amount of assets to play with, so it was really just a "best of" DLC really, with a boss run and a nice loot room. Gearbox are making all the DLC for this themselves AFAIK. -

Registered 11 months agoI thought about getting one of those shields. But I never have to worry about running out of ammo as a Gunzerker, so other mods are preferable. -

Are you and dsmx talking about the MINAC, or Crawmerax here?

MINAC was the claptrap DLC final boss and was pretty easy IMO.
Crawmerax the Invincible was in the General Knoxx DLC and is *massively* annoying.

Is the quest Caustic Caverns based?
If so, I now wish I hadn't picked the other reward. /o\
Should have gone and looked at both of them first I guess! -

An ammo renewing shield would be great. I miss my ammo regen soldier mods from 1. I failed the first slaughterdome thing due to running out of ammo, but am upgrading those sdu's now in preparation. -

Registered 5 years agoMid game boss spoilers ahead, you have been warned...
So the game builds up Wilhelm to be a tough opponent and Lilith and Roland start yelling to run when he appears. Gunzerking with a slag smg and a corrosive tediore pistol meant he went down in about 10 seconds! -

Registered 8 years agoYeah, he's a big disappointment. There's a similar unheralded boss named after a planet that put up a much better fight later.
Re End:Bit easy as well, I hardly seemed to take any damage from the big attacks and my booster shield was spitting out boosters so often that any real pain got mitigated very fast. I guess he's much harder the 2nd time around or in co-op -

Registered 7 years agoPlsyed earlier (cheers OSS by the way) and had a bizarre bug whereby I was just constantly zoomed in, even without looking down the sights. It was pretty disabling in the middle of hectic fights it was like I was looking down a tube all the time, awful.
Weirdly, a couple of deaths and it still stayed in place, then, finally, it popped back at a third death the view was normal again... -

Registered 7 years agoI've had that too funnily enough, back on my Zero playthrough, and now that you've mentioned it, exactly in the same place if it happened in the Slab King's place, during the 'initiation'.
Bizzare, but something to watch for. As if the default FOV wasn't narrow enough !
Only other weirdness is with starting splitscreen, then dropping one character and back to SP. Seems to up the framerate quite noticeably. You can read this ? You've helped ruin the place.

Registered 7 years agoI remember back in the "old days" when you changed to multiplayer (goldeneye is a classic example) it slightly dumbed down the graphics so that it could cope with it... Could that be the case here? Would explain the raise in frames -

Registered 7 years agoRemember the chatter about changing the storyline based on your actions ?
Well, after the boss on the Bloodshot Ramparts, the constructor holding Roland, it dawned on me that I'd freed him there during my Axton playthrough. A hand-me-down acid pistol making short work of it from my Zero playthrough, where I didn't, and where I had an additional quest to rescue him from the Hyperion depot in The Dust.
Only realised when I passed it and thought, "What's in there again ? ......oh !"
Nice touch. You can read this ? You've helped ruin the place.
