It clicked with me right from the pilot, and I loved it too. Until one day I went back to it, and I just didn't find it funny at all. Clever, yes, but I suddenly just stopped liking it for some reason.

    Top of the Lake

Really enjoyed this, some great performances from Faramir, Elizabeth Moss and Peter Mullan.

Who can I talk to about the ending?

    8.5/10

The series is just like Abed. It knows the motions but not why they should be performed. All brains and no heart.

Well I was toying with ordering the series 1-3 box of Community, but in the end I've just gone with Series 1.

Let's see how that goes first.

Better, hopefully, than the yawn-fest that was Seinfeld.

Continuum series 2 - 7/10 - Enjoyable Sci-fi fluff. Started to get pretty good in the second half of the series and will be interested to see where they take it next series.

It does get an award for the most unexpected naked scene ever as well. Where the hell did that come from?

Yeah I was really into it. But the bastards have cancelled it. Still to watch season 3, hope it doesn't end on a cliffhanger.

I am actually amazed The Borgias made 3 seasons. It looks expensive to make and you just don't hear much buzz about it. Personally I liked it a lot.

    Castle - Season 1.

Decent fun,  if you get past the concept of each episode. It can get a little annoying though, with the main characters playing kiss chase when there are a ton of murders to solve.

    7/10

    The Returned.

Really enjoyed this. Pretty damn creepy. Great set of characters (even a couple i really wanted to die), wonderful cinematography, and score. Really compelling because its pretty subtle. I liked it because its everything what the walking dead isn't * or rather what most zombie dramas arn't. Its pretty made itself a unique zombie program.

It does threaten to go full on heroes/lost mode though, but i'm willing to give it the benefit of the doubt. One of those where it could be wrapped up in a few more episodes if they really wanted.

    9/10

*i really like the walking dead btw, just this is a complete different spin on the genre.

    What's the verdict on 'Community'?

I've not seen it, but it sounds like my sort of thing. Gets pretty good Amazon reviews, too.

    Worth picking up?
Yeah it's great, just suffered a bit if an Internet backlash because it got overly hyped. Season 4 wasn't great, but for me the rest is gold.

    The Shield - Season 5

What an ending! Even though I've seen it before it was still a great finale.

And I know that many people don't like Forest Whittaker's character but I think he adds an interesting dynamic to the show and a decent opponent for Mackey.

    9/10

    Arrow - Season 1

Nothing spectacular but easy viewing between other shows. Yeah, it's pretty ville with plot holes but enough entertainment there and characters aren't too annoying. Barrowman was pretty good.

    6/10

    Alan Partridge - Series 1 (10/10), Series 2 (8/10)

Watched it for the first time on Netflix UK, and I absolutely loved it. Felt season 2 lost some of the charm from season 1 though, but nevertheless, still great. Definitely looking forward to seeing the film. HA-HA.

Good lad. Watch as much Partridge as you can, it is all excellent.

Forgot to mention I completed watching Sopranos season 1-6. Words do not do it and JG justice, awesome 10/10

The top of the lake - 5/10 - Well made and well acted but it just felt like it was treading water most of the time. The whole Holy hunter women's camp thing was also totally pointless. You could easily of cut all of the out as it as no bearing on anything. You also get a resolution in the last 10 minutes of the final episode which was out of left field. It all makes sense but there was no real trail of clues that you could have followed to figure that conclusion out in advance. It felt very tacked on

I love this show! Mainly because the two main characters work so well together. There are 7 seasons I think.

It gets decidedly weird in the 'An Evening With Mr Yang' episode though...

I think it was you that recommended it to me! Yeah, they work really well together. All the cast is really good. It makes me laugh a lot.

I think I am not far off getting to that one :-) About half way through season 3 now, I think. Might be my imagination but I remember seeing it in the episode listings.

    The Walking Dead

    10/10

Missed this when it first aired but finally caught the first season on US Netflix and finished it last night, utterly brilliant TV I've been so hooked I stayed up most of the night eating into season 2 (which is just as good). I just can't fault it, good Zombies, characters, plots everything is just superb.

My only issue with the show is only a mental one and that is I'm finding it bloody hard to take good old Egg seriously as a yank deputy, I keep waiting for him to tell Shane how great Sparky was :) Don't get me wrong Lincoln is a great actor and plays Rick brilliantly....but..it's Egg!

The Americans - 7/10 - Pretty enjoyable overall. It did suffer from clever plots that require people to do exactly what you need them to do to work but it was still a fun watch.
