    Fawlty Towers - Series 2

More comic genius - John Cleese's finest hour.

    The Borgias - Season 2

At ten episodes it is all too short. I like this a lot, plenty of intrigue and dodgy goings on. It ends well, I can't wait for the next season.

    The Finder

I enjoyed this quite a bit. It's very formulaic, but has a lot of charm. The two leads are great.

    True Blood s4- 6/10

Too much going on and too many subplots, it was all a bit of a mess.

    Modern Family s2- 10/10

The best comedy on tv. Great characters and superbly acted.

    XBL- TROUTKILLA

    Dinosaur Revolution

Not as much fun as the name suggests, but it is an interesting short series about dinosaurs. It's a bit emotional, but an ok watch.

    Justified S03
one of my favorite shows ever is getting better and better. At firt I wasnt too fond of how it all takes a turn for the darker in this season. There are some very unpleasant characters and even Rayland does some things I wish he hadn't.

But the writing for this season is on a whole new level so I'm going to shut my mouth and just be happy for a great show. Acting is brilliant, characters are varied and brililliant, the writing is brilliant and the whole setting is ... Brilliant.

Did thisnget OKd for a new season?

The only negative thing about The Wire is how it makes all other TV shows look slightly silly.

@Tonka Absolutely! I find myself wanting a series that delivers as much as The Wire. I've never seen anything like it since.

    @mcmonkeyplc You're in a journey, enjoy!

    24 - Season 1

    Meh - 6/10

Finally got round to watching this as LovefFilm have them all on demand.
Possibly because I watched them all in the space of about 10 days the impact was lessened but there were far too many annoying characters that I really did not care about - his wife was really annoying.

I'm glad I've finally got around to watching it but I'll not be watching any of the other seasons.

    Breaking Bad - Season 2

    Superb! 9.5/10

It just keeps getting better, really enjoying how Walt's character is evolving. Some massive LOL moments - In the RV after the mammoth cooking session, "a robot??" and "ahhh - wire".

    Ross Kemp - Series 2

One of those shows that makes you glad to live in the UK until I watched the Glasgow episode. It's a grim watch, but interesting.

The Borgias series 2 - 8/10 -Rather good and improves on the first series quite a bit. The only weak spot for me is Jeremey Irons who despite being the big name in it I find to be the weakest character.

I do wonder how this keeps getting made though as I don't know anyone who watch's it or who is even really aware of it's existence and it looks dam expensive to make. Hopefully they make it to another series though.

    Castle Series 3 - 8/10

Good solid series. The arcing story from the previous series continues and is very tense. Moments of comedy, drama and some great acting from the main guys. It also helps that Stana Katic is immensely hot. Now to find the next series.

    Avatar: TLA, season 3.

Really good! If only cartoons had been this good when I was a kid. Not that I'd been able to see it with only four channels back then. Great characters, great actions, great music and an excellent finale.

Really? I've yet to see much kids TV these days that stands up to what I used to watch after school.

After first watching it a few weeks ago on BBC1 (season 4), I decided to buy The Thick of It complete collection. Watched series 1 and 2 so far and it is brilliant. The only thing I don't like is the wobbly camera, which season 4 has gotten rid of.

The newsroom - 5/10 - Mediocre and very preachy with poor character development. Jeff Daniels was the only distinct character really. Everyone else felt like the same person. It did enlighten me on a couple of areas of US politics though.

The funniest season yet and would be a great way to end the show. It's a shame they're doing another series.

And that person is Aaron Sorkin.

It's the thing that bugs me about everything he writes, although I do also find myself begrudgingly enjoying it as well. He is a talent, but he's also a big preachy nobber.

Avatar TLA is up there with the best of the past, especially those TV shows that had an actual plot and a long story arc (MCOG for example).

Kids and adults love it in my experience and end up watching all three books.

    Breaking Bad Season 4 - 10/10

I've no idea what to watch now, this has officially broken TV for me as i don't think i'll ever find anything to come close.

    Best drama ever.

Breaking Bad Seasons 1-5 (wherever its up to)
Great series. A bit more of a narrow focus then other shows like the Wire, Sopranoes etc. but it gives you more time to spend with the characters which makes the tense scenes more tense.
Biggest two complaints, second series the whole thing with the people fishing the bear out the pool, felt a bit of a let down when it was just a plane crash, I thought stuff was going to kick off big time.
Series 5 Seemed to move too quickly and didn't have the same character development as the other series imo
I'm going to have to catch up with other telly now because we couldn't stop watching this.

    30 Rock season 1

Amusing, sometimes clever. Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin are excellent. Tracy Jordan/Morgan is annoying.
Doesn't transcend its genre or indulge in meta headfucks (like Community), but few shows do.
What it does within the confines of its structure it does quite well.

    6.5

    Friday Night LIghts season 2.

Understand this is the series that was penned during hte writers strike. You can sort of tell.

Frsutrated that all the direction of season 1 was sort of put back to square 1 again within a few episodes. Overall still great though, The characters are fantastic, pleased for landry. a couple of storylines lost there way, or yet to be really examined but the ones that were examined (smash and landry) worked well. 8/10 (s1 9/10)
