Finished the vanilla game with my Lvl 43 sorceror and some high lvl support pawns (thanks guys!).

Have to say Grigori fell quite easily, none of my crew dying on me. But then I stepped into the Chamber of Fate in postgame and that Drake was vicious. Had to run around rezzing like mad till some of my ice spells (double charged) whacked him down.

Realising there is so much content to this game. Just starting on the Everfall, with Bitterblack Isle and the recently released extra DLC still left to go!

I do hope that entering BBI at lvl 45ish won't be total murder :(

I need to get back to this soon. Finally finished Defiance last week, and am relaxing in Skyrim for a bit after finishing the main storyline for that last night. Might get Metro Last light out of the way, then back on to this for some extended sessions again.

I still have loads to do, although I think the story is now tapering towards the initial build up. Never mind the post-game and BI, but then that was my plan- this will see me adventuring for ages over the late summer/autumn. :)

I haven't played for a few months but I thought I'd load up my save for a bit of monster slaying. However as I'm trying to load the save I get greeted by this message:

Downloadable content could not be detected. Saved data will be set to Normal Mode. If you switch back to Hard Mode later, you will restart the game from the beginning, but with all of the data from your last saved game. Continue?

WTF? I don't think I want to restart my game.

    Edit:
So apparently Capcom have removed the Challenge Pack DLC from the EU store and removed it from the game with the latest patch. The only way to get Hard Mode back is to buy Dark Arisen. Is this right? Words cannot express what I feel right now.

    Edit2:
Even though I can't manually download the Challenge Pack anymore, my PS+ account automatically redownloaded it last night. Weird shit.

Looks like the corruption update has now been fixed.

If you can read this, you don't need glasses.

I picked this up yesterday for 8 quid. I have seen the dark arisen version as well. Is it like an expansion pack, or a full new game? Not sure if I should pick that up as well

    No.

    And yes.

No you cannot download just the Dark Arisen content. It's a re-release, not DLC. The Dark Arisen download is the same as the disc.

Yes you can save vanilla DD and continue in DA.

Dark Arisen is available to download yes. And save games from the original DD work in DA seeing as DA is basically just the full, original game with new content added in. However it should be pointed out that you will want to complete the main game at least once before attempting the new DA content, which is a lot tougher.

you need to purchase DA in physical format, it's not available to download afaik (edit: unless it's been added to GoD?).

if you get DA at a later date then yes you can just carry on as normal in the DA version of the game. As a bonus for having had a normal Dragons dogma saev you'll get an eternal rift stone, a bunch of rft crystals and some dlc kit.

Yeah you can certainly download Dark Arisen for PSN, and I can't check right now, but I'm sure it got added to Xbox Live GoD recently.

Its only because I bought DD yesterday for 8 quid thinking DA was a full blown expansion. Just found out today that it includes the original game. I am guessing they have patched dd though, so have they reduced the price of the transport item that everyone was unhappy about?

Once you reach Gran Soren you can buy them or find them randomly throughout the world from enemy drops and chests.

@spindle9988 - aye I know its ace. I can't remember what level I am now. Somewhere between 20 and 30 but that's a complete guess as its been so long.

Was going to fire it up last weekend but I got drunk instead by mistake

    I also blame dark souls

Are you on ps3? Add me if you want to use my pawn, Uncle Vyrt. Psn = quaddy456

    Fair do's

Yeah I really like the pawns.

What class are you and how far are you into the game?

I was really enjoying strider and then ranger but then switched to mage and sorcerer for more magic in order to supplement the next change to magick archer. Can't get my head around magick archer though so might try assassin and if I don't get on with that I might go back to ranger I reckon

@Shikasama - I know I know! There's just too many games out at the moment. Including bastard dark souls which took over 250 hours and then I accidentally put the last of us on, etc etc. I'll sort it. Promise :)
