    @Rauha

Good stuff. The servers always take a while for updating gifts. I'm guessing you've still got Edmond as a fighter then ? He's somewhat different now ! And not just the fact he's a ranger......

Finally got the game and had some time to play, level 21 and was just told I may have an audience with the Duke! (going to do some side quests first though)

    PSN Id: Jaakkoza

If you're still playing and have some left over gear suitable for an Assassin, pop me a friend request (or I will! and you don't want that)... please?

Main pawns currently a Fighter if anyone need to borrow him, will soon turn him into a warrior I think.

Yeah still got him. A level 94 for free, won't ever be letting him go :D

I'm still loving this game, but I can't help notice that my pawn isn't wowing the crowds so much these days. Previously I would find all sorts of lovely presents and even the odd positive comment from other players, but lately the only presents I'm getting from other players tend to be rotten food designed to ravage the bowels.

It might be because players are just hiring pawns for the trophies, and therefore won't rate etc because they're hiring them in quick succession?

I have noticed this as well. I alwwys give gifts and leave a comment.

"Duffman is thrusting in the direction of the problem! Oh, yeah!"

Tends to be a bit random, but I think you'll get items so long as somebody is using your pawn, no matter how rubbish. There's also the possibility that they have died/fallen into brine etc in other games, and therefore no option to rate is available.

As for hiring, it's basically pot luck. A lot of people will be past their first playthrough, and won't bother with low-level pawns, and low-level players will search for higher level ones. Bit of a vicious circle, but I'll say that keeping them in a unified armour set with all slots filled with decent skills is a good start.

I certainly looked for the pawns who looked like they'd had some thought/attention put into them, and complimented my group's colour scheme. I'll find some pics to fire up.

And Rahua, you can fire & hire friend's pawns with no worries. Looking for someone to try it for an......opinion.

    Pics:
    Blue 1
    Blue 2
    Red 1
    Red 2
    Dark
Probably played most of the game in my red scheme, hence my desperation for the red Sultry Cowl, no point fighting unless you're co-ordinated ! The sorcerer Miu is from a JP player, and I spammed her reports with "is simply perfect" for appearance, along with a few PSN messages. Didn't alter over 40 levels and numerous re-hiring. The owner got the hint.
The Dark pic has pawns chosen purely because they had Mandalorian armour, for a black/dark green theme. So yeah, don't settle for a skimpy, mis-matched outfit. Shallow folk these Arisen are.......appearance is everything.

@oldschoolsoviet Excellent pics, there should be more pawns like the Hulk and Na'vi though!

I'm about 15 hours in. There is one major issue I have with the game. It takes far too long to get from place to place. You run out of stamina after about 3 seconds, so you can't run very far. There is no fast travel. Such a feature would make the game much better in my opinion. I hate having to run to the other side of the world for a quest, then have to run (well, more like a jog due to stamina issues) all the way back to Gran Soren.

Great game apart from that though.
    Great

@Bombonera - there are items later that you can buy that let you teleport about so hopefully that will ease your travel plans

Must mean something different then, as I'm using ferrystones and port crystals on my current first playthrough?

Nah, it's the same thing, it's just on the second playthrough you can buy as many port crystals as you like instead of just being limited to one.

Just so you know, people can only gift you gear that your pawn can equip. So if you want to gifted a short bow/daggers for your assassin you'll need to make your pawn a strider, if you want a sword/shield they'll need to be a fighter, etc. What kind of assassin stuff were you after?

Yup, I know. Thinking dagger assassin, I like the speed, the damage and the high mobility. Feels a bit like an Assassination rogue in World of Warcraft, which is what I used to play.

Oh, and it had to happen--- level 33, and ended up restarting the game from scratch. Failed Fournival's trial and a bunch of other stuff. But at least this time around I'll know what to do. Only thing I'm not looking forward is grinding the Warrior augments (don't get me a wrong, Warriors are really fun against goblins and the like, they just feel too clumsy against large dangerous enemies)

    So... *takes the plunge*

PS. Some really awesome quests in this game, especially liked chasing the Griffin in Bluemoon Tower.

Much as I'm enjoying the gameplay my enthusiasm is tempered by the lack of fast travel. I'm fairly short on game time but got a couple of hours in last night; felt like I achieved very little.

Walk for ages, getting attacked by wolves and bandits. Get there, do X, walk back. Getting attacked by wolves and bandits.

I've just come off the back of Skyrim and Witcher 2 but at least the stories held those two together.

Got the platinum last night, thoroughly loved this. I even started NG++ for a bit before I realised that maybe I could play another game now - haven't put another disc in my playstation all month and the Mrs must be fed up of me being on it as soon as the kid is in bed.
Overall an easy 9, would of been a 10 without some obvious camera problems on big enemies Particularly on the back of the Ur Dragon.

@chrisno21 Congrats dude...I think I'm still only 30% of the way through thr trophies having clocked 60 hours* and still not even got to the real end let alone NG+.

*Some of that time is leaving the game running in menus/pause screens whilst doing other stuff...at least I hope it is, or that's an obscenely slow play-through.

Yay, back in Grand Soren. Much easier this time, for some reason night fell the first time I was doing the escort quest, got a bit hairy.

Main Pawn's Wooshun, a mountain of a black man with a shaved head, but funky side burns and a 'stache (guess you need one really heavy character to carry all the stuff you find in your travels).

This time I won't fail to save Quina!

Ps. Will get around to sending some friend requests, pawn's now a Strider, will pop him back to mage / sorc eventually though.

Hit 'start', then 'history' I think it is, and it's the final tab on the right.

Just started New Game+ last night.

    That ending...

    That other ending...

I still can't believe the mediocre response this game received. Apart from a few camera problems its GOTY for me so far. I haven't poopsocked a console RPG like this in ages.

Capcom should be patching in a 'hard' mode really. Even at the half-way point of the level cap you're decimating mobs. Theres only one fight that causes a problem and thats just because its a war of attrition/damage sponge (and it shits out and makes you wait).

I see that they have packed the 10 dlc episodes together for 5.50 on PSN, anyone tried them - are they worth it or are they just padding?
