Gonna need another evening with the game before MP. Very used to Anno games but there's an extra layer on this one I want to be more familiar with.
Also gives me more time to think of what to blame for sucking.
Anyone played through the campaign? I can't seem to get past chapter 3 mission 3, I have done everything required, disabled father's shield and destroyed every structure he has but the "destroy defensive structures" doesn't complete and my forces get murdered by his bullshit invinci-pricks.
I get the impression that the campaign was quite shoddily put together, it's not the first time I've had issues like this.

Grabbed this last night as its half price on steam. Certainly looks like it could have me hooked for a while. Anyone know if any of the DLC is worth getting?

I know I started enjoying Anno 1404 a hell of a lot more once I gave up on the campaign and started playing sandbox...which might have been vaguely relevant had I answered you in March when you posted that

I rarely bother with campaigns in strategy games but for some reason I quite liked 1404's campaign and didn't mind 2070's until I hit what I believe to be a game-breaking bug. I just kinda stopped playing then, maybe I'll go back when the dlc gets down to a reasonable price, so Steam xmas sale I guess.
Finally got into this properly tonight after countless failed attempts.
What I don't get is that you can't see production vs consumption anywhere in game which just ruins it.
Are you still playing it, panda? I think there's a complete version coming out at the end of March (expansion and DLC included). I was thinking of picking it up then.

There's a great game in here somewhere, hidden behind one of the worst interfaces I've come across in a strategy game. The campaign is arse as well.
Huh, Steam are doing a "Ubisoft weekend". Anno 2070 + Expansion and DLC for 20 quid.
