Are your fondest gaming memories linked to a Ps3, Xbox 360? or maybe tied to a platform who's time has come and gone? a dragon 32, BBC micro, spectrum or one of the myriad of other platforms perhaps? please share your views.

for myself (and probably being in the innocence of youth has much to do with it) id have to say the Spectrum 48k is my platform, nothing comes close to the nostalgic warm feeling i get when i hark back to those days, makes me laugh when people talk of loading times these days, how good they have it, no 15 minute loading times just to be rewarded with.............SYNTAX ERROR!!! well enough of that its time for my bed bath :p

The floor works really well. Plenty of space, easy to get a good position in front of the TV and nothing ever falls off it.

Cherry Picker. Great elevated views and provides peace and solitude for extended gaming sessions.

It was more likely to be R: Tape Loading Error on the Spectrum surely?

I will always remember the Amiga fondly though. That was the true start of my obsession I think.

I feel all nostalgic and warm about the Mega drive myself. I'd had a few consoles before then (Spectrum +2, Master system) but that was the one that really took my gaming to another level.

I missed out a bit on the Snes. I was a kid during the mega drive/Snes days and was only allowed the one console so by the time I did buy one on the cheap off my own back the PS2 hadn't long been out. Was still some great games but it didn't quite have the magic it would've if i'd played as a kid.

And probably the SNES. I do have really fond memories of my Saturn even though I was laughed at by all my PSX owning peers.

Sega Megadrive is the best console I've owned, followed closely by the PS2.

I like it when he's angry.

Gamecube, NES and N64 are all time favourites. For some reason I've slightly less love for the SNES than other Nintendo legacy systems

None of the current crop really capture the imagination, but PS3 marginally preferable as it appeals less to the redneck gaming underclass who spend 100 hours a week on Black Ops Team Deathmatch.

It's just a lesser of two evils really, I'm still pissed off that they target the Wii at people I can't relate to.

Saturn is also my rose tinted console of choice, I really did prefer it to the PS up until the games dried up and Sega dropped it. Sadly now the graphics from that era have aged really badly in most cases and I find them hard to look at to play again though I did recently enjoy a bit of Panzer Dragoon Zwei.

Overall, well there's no competition really it has to be the PC.
