Randomly happened upon this, works perfectly.

Install the latest patch and enjoy, still such an excellent game.

Yep it's definitely illegal (assuming you don't own the original).

Luckily, I have both games gathering dust on my shelf.

It seems mainly produced with original code, but there's a disclaimer on the readme that says: "Part of the code closed into DLL and some data files are copyrighted by Bullfrog Productions.", so unless he managed to get permission from EA (which I somehow doubt) then it's copyright theft.

Wow. EA should shut this down now before it causes them to lose any more sales.

To be fair, publishers shut down stuff like this all the time.

'you haven't got enough energy to slap the imp, wait for 4 hours to recharge or purchase bonus evil power using DungeonCredits(tm)'

Well they're remaking Syndicate, which is just as obscure (to younger gamers). And there's nothing stopping re-releasing the DK games on Steam or D2D.

I'm not advocating or decrying anything here, not sure why people are jumping down my throat.

You can't remake dungeon keeper as an fps.

    DK was an FPS!

...assuming you possessed a wizard or an archer ;)

Actually a full first person version of it could work. I can even think of a way that shoehorning in multiplayer could work, I'd just rather they didn't.

The original games had multiplayer too. Was the best way to play the game, in fact.

Multiplayer and FPS in the original, it's already set for modern gamers!

And kinky women in leather, everything a modern gamer expects from a game these days.

Possessed a fly and careered around uncharted caverns with kaleidoscopic vision, such a fantastic game.

I was sure I saw a preview for Dungeon Keeper 3 on a video game tv show about 15 years ago when I was younger.

I wouldn't. I don't like the whole playing games on facebook thing.

There was a trailer for it on my version of Dungeon Keeper 2, but EA canned the fuck out of it. Then proceeded to utterly ignore all the amazing IP the company has. Except for Syndicate, which they are getting starbreeze, one of the most original developers at the moment to make something with. I'd love to know who made that deal because they need to be promoted to king of EA.
