Both the videos I've just watched on Youtube disagree, I think.

Cubby didn't know how to turn off sigs!

Quite a nice preview of what to expect from the 3ds version here:

    Bunch of impressions:

    http://www.joystiq.com/2011/04/13/the-legend-of-zelda-ocarina-of-time-3d-preview/

    Loads of new screens:

    http://www.gamexplain.com/article-403-1302739990-new-legend-of-zelda-ocarina-of-time-3d-screens.html

Confirms that it isn't just a quick port with a few new textures, but a complete remastering. Music is still the same but everything else has been upgraded, and it now looks a lot closer to the original art style envisioned for the N64 version. No mention of any other additions or secrets yet, though.

Its weird that in the screens it looks exactly how my brain remembers it looking but I'm sure were I to go back to the original it would be a horrible blurry mess.

    It does look considerably better.

I actually rage quit the final boss in OOT. :D

I've never played it since. It was glorious though.

First time I played OOT was on the Gamecube, which was just a port of the N64 version.

Trust me, those screens look much, much better. I didn't actually play beyond the first 8 hours or so on the Cube because the washed-out muddy look was doing my head in too much (and yes, I know it's an amazing game, which is why I'm really looking forward to getting it for the 3DS).

Looks about the same as I remember it (haven't played OOT for years). I know it looks better, but games always look better in your memories. FarCry looked like Crysis in my head, that's how I remember it. It's not until you go back that you realise it's not even close to looking as good as it did in your head.

I will probably pick this up once I get a 3DS. However I will not be buying a 3DS for it as I have previously played the game.

    LOL - Stunning new artwork?

First image is fanart, the rest are the exact same artworks from the original game.

So looking forward to this- haven't played Ocarina since the 1998 release, so I can barely remember any of it. Bar the fishing, of course.

Blimey. I don't recall much at all. Except having a horse and some great dungeon puzzles. All those Zelda games have kind of melded into one now for me.

    Oot t-shirt

Speaking of fishing, the OoT t-shirt I did for the EG competition is up on the insert coin site. Don't worry, I don't get anything out of it apart from bragging rights.

Despite having only had a horse in a couple of games, it always felt like the 'iconic' way to travel. Sod these boats and trains and arguments about repetitive stories, give me a horse, a sword, a bow and a princess to save.

    Thankyou Mrpon!

Not terribly excited about the boss rush mode, unless perhaps they've changed things around slightly to make them more interesting - the boss battles in Zelda have always been ridiculously easy. Hopefully there will be more additions like that outside of the main game.

The horse was actually in three out of the four 3D Zeldas, so it's no surprise that it would seem iconic. :p

I don't really want a 3DS but I do want this. And I could justify it with some other games...

The final boss in Wind Waker gave me a bit of gyp back in the day, but yeah, all the OoT bosses are pretty easy IIRC.

Slightly unfair comparisons there, in that a lot of the N64 shots clearly are just too dark.

I distinctly remember being able to see the boss that came out the pictures when I played it for example.

I think that one may be from a slightly later stage of the battle where he's fully emerged from the paintings. You may still be right, although all of the other images look the correct brightness to me. Either way, it's a slightly unfair comparison.

Just like Twilight Princess, when they try for a more naturalistic look they just foul it up and make it worse.

Proportionally, Link just looks wrong now, like a midget whose had the arms of an extremely obese person grafted onto their body.
