Yeah, it's pretty simple....if you ever see a triforce symbol on the floor or the walls, play that song and you're good to go :D There must be like 20 times in the game that you need to do this, but in fairness I think that room is the earliest point at which you need to use it.

Zelda fanboys are most welcome to correct me :D

I don't think there's a Triforce symbol to stand on in the Goron's room, though. You just have to stand near him and play the song. If the game's being finicky about where you have to stand, I can see why others would get stuck on it.

That's the only bit like that in the whole game though, iirc - everywhere else there is a Triforce symbol (and Navi will always point to it).

Oh I bring it up that I was wrong, there isn't a triforce symbol in his room doh sorry.

The game does consistently play a little jingle when you bring out the ocarina in the right spot though.

Yep, forgot about that - if there's no jingle, then don't bother playing!

Seems like OoT isn't really obscure after all, then. :)

Except for the places where you can play a song without there being a jingle (e.g. the scarecrow's song). I can't think of any places where it's not part of a sidequest or shortcut though.

29 hours for me in the Activity log. That's with all dungeons complete, including Ganon's. I'm missing 6 or 7 heart pieces left to find. I've still got two sets of beans on me and i've only found 60 skulltulas. My average playtime is 56 minutes, which is 3 minutes less than Link's Awakening.

Argh I can't remember how to make king fish guy bloody move so I can get to jabu jabu. The only clues relate to Lake Hylia but I'm sure I don't go there yet. May I as well try it, the clues are there I'm just not seeing it yet.

Here you go Lexx- although another circuit of the cavern, talking to everyone should solve it for you!

    Hint
You need to find the letter in a bottle from the Princess.

    What to do
It's at Lake Hylia, there's an underwater entrance there from the main Zora cavern. You'll need the increased diving ability.

    Where to find that ability
You get that from the diving game, which is off one if the side paths from the same level as King fish guy.

Argh. I got stuck there too. The problem being that I knew I needed him to move his ass over, but forgot the steps prior to that. I had that a number of times during my time with the game. When you know the end result to a set of tasks, you can completely forget the steps involved, which usually involve going some where else completely and doing something you'd never remember to do. When you have no idea what the end result is going to be, you're more open to exploring your surroundings and figuring it out, rather than exhausting ideas which seem a little more logical.

just got to the bottom of the well. I have to admit, I did FAQ it. God knows how I figured out that I needed to talk to the windmill guy as an adult to learn the song I'd taught him as a kid, even though I hadn't taught it him yet, then go back in time and teach him it. To drain the well which although already drained as an adult, has a block at the bottom which it turns out isn't there as a kid, but you've no way of knowing that.. Bonkers! How did I ever do that before GameFAQs? Although at least Navi points you in vaguely the right geographical direction.

Sleep in your Kokiri house as young Link. Maybe adult Link too, never tried that.

Cheers for those tips red, I managed to solve it on my own though. I didn't have enough money for that diving game when I tried yesterday :)

I quite like the way that it doesn't hold your hand- the clues are always there though.

Tried fishing as young link, I found this whopper but he broke away once and then I couldn't get him interested at all afterwards. I can't remember even if it's worth fishing as young link, or to wait until i'm the adult.

You should do a fair bit of fishing as a kid.

Do you actually get anything for fishing? I spent days doing it first time round, but this time round I couldn't be bothered once I'd beaten the existing record.

Actually, that's one area where this game has aged - its rewards. Made it to the top of the mountain? Well done - have some rupees. Wallet full? Oh well, never mind.

Did anyone try and get a Zelda Symphony ticket?

I think i've got one somehow on the first row, they are sold out now though.

Row AA seat 20, which looking at the seating plan I think means first row, problem being though that i'm not sure first row of anything is any good as you're far too close! It's sold now as well which was fast!

Did you go for any of the higher priced ones?

I knew what the 100 one was for but not the 60. Just went for standard myself, but yeah, not cheap.

Potentially worth thinking about not going it and selling it as it has already sold out though!

Went for the standard ones, couldn't justify paying more when these standard ones already put me back nearly 80!

Fuck, completely forgot about the symphony! If I'd have known there was a potential EG meet I'd probably have gone for it.

How did you pay 80 for the tickets though? I thought they started at 33.

Kay, add up the price of two standard tickets.. :) Mine was 40 with fees and all that bollocks.

Also it's only 33 if you had a club nintendo voucher thing.

I paid about 125 for 2 tickets. Still not sure what I'm doing with the 2nd ticket. Have a few people in mind but yeah, an EG Symphony pint sounds like a grand idea!
