Registered 7 years agoJust been taken up to my room after a long day of treatment. Only to find 2 cards waiting from me from Eurogamers. It really bought a smile to my face. Thankyou Letsgo and LockeTribal!!
This is not meant to propmt a deluge of cards by the way. Nor is it meant to get a load more get well comments. I know you are all routing for me and it means a hell of a lot. Thanks!
By the way, for the doctory types who are reading (Puma and others) my levels have gone down drastically on todays blood screen.
LDH was at 5000 and is now 579
HCG is now at 10.8
Moving in the right direction. Yay!
Oh, and the hair is now starting to fall out. My stubble just rubs off now, which saves on shaving foam. I didn't have much hair uptop anyway. Maybe after this is all over it will grow back to be a mighty barnett worthy of Alistair Cook?!FCUTA!

Registered 11 years agoPanda's right. You can wear any wig you like now and if anyone takes the piss you can just give them the look and say 'actually, I'm having chemo' and they'll be obliged to buy you beer for all time.-- boobs do nothing for me, I want moustaches and chest hair.

Then after you flee, stumbling to the pub toilets for shelter, they turn to your mates

Thanks!
The weeks been ok. I'm just so damned tired and a bit sicky feeling. BUT that's much better than the pain I used to be in, so onwards and upwards.
The worst thing is the taste of coins in your mouth frankly.FCUTA!

Yuck. You know, if the vending machine is empty you could probably just ask someone to nip to the shop rather than eating your change.
