Game of Tits returns, thank god. Thought we weren't getting enough there.

It's pretty funny how they tastefully avoid showing the peen, yet are pretty cool with tits everywhere.

Anyway, it was an alright episode, but really just another one where everyone is moving and switching around from place to place.

There were some good scenes - Joffrey is such a wonderfully despicable cunt by now that I simultaneously admire the actor playing him, and feel sorry that he'll never live this role down when the series is over - but it was just sort of... meh. Nothing of note really happened, although I loved the scenes in King's Landing.

It was better than last week's episode!

Really liked this weeks episode. Tyrion threatening to cut off Joffrey's dick was my favourite bit.

Yeah, the wedding in general was filled with great performances. I particularly liked Olenna, and Cersei's bitter "not a single shit was given" attitude. And Joffrey being an unimaginable cunt.

Best part of the episode? No Theon, and no Bran. I did not need another week of those storylines.

And I like Samwis-sorry, Samwell's scene. Although it was a bit stupid of him to leave the obsidan dagger behind.

Actually, I think it was more a problem with the direction than the story. Normally I love kings landing and all the shenanigans that goes on there. But I found the wedding to be a snoreathon

It's a one-shot weapon, though - at least if you're dumb enough to leave it lying on the ground and run away.
Still, good work Fat Boy. Bravest coward in the seven kingdoms. It'd be a crowning moment of awesome if he got to go back home and stand up to his dad by the end of the story. Or maybe he'll move on and realise he doesn't care any more that he was a disappointment to his dad - or maybe he'll be dead in a snowbank by next week and those ravens will be eating his eyes.

    Brilliant episode.

I thought he had a spear point rather than a dagger, not that it matters.
Couldn't help thinking "you utter moron! Pick up the weapon then run!"

@Salaman I had a similar reaction. I said 'that's a clever boy. Leave the dagger behind you soppy twat' at the TV with as much disdain as I could muster.

I struggled with last weeks episode and found it rather dull but things are back on track this week. Very entertaining indeed!

Aye, me too. On the other hand he manned up and killed one of those unkillable ice bastards, so on the whole he's come out of the episode looking pretty good.

Good seeing more of the penis torture too. Never trust naked women.

really enjoyed that episode, Didn't really move forward in any direction, but it was just filled with great dialouge and one liners.

    King landing stuff was brilliant.

It was great to see so many familiar faces at the wedding, even if they were mostly silent. The ensemble cast is the best thing about this show and it's a shame they don't all get together more often.

I assume Sam didn't know it was the fact that the dagger is special somehow that made the white dude die then, hence why he didn't mind leaving it behind?

    Get bent.

Maybe that, and that he was in a panic. Still fairly stupid to be running away without a weapon, though. He doesn't even have a sword now.

Leaving the magic weapon behind was just lazy writing.

Another reason I was slightly bored by this episode is that a book wanker at work spoilered that bit three weeks ago.

"I wonder why they skipped the bit where the crystal daggers can kill the white walkers?"

Yeah, you wonder that you spoiler king you. Maybe because they want to use it as a cool surprise later on?

And enough of sad Tyrion. I want him upbeat and scheming.
Also, if I was the king I'd have everyone at the wedding beheaded for not bowing as I walked through the tiny gathering.

If you can read this you really need to fiddle with your forum settings.

I didn't even know he had a special dagger. When did he get that? I assume he just stabbed the walker in its weak spot for massive damage.

Our month-long focus on indie games starts with my look at the PS4's best game (still): Resogun!

As far as spoilers go, that could have been much, much worse. Still sucks though.

I agree that the episode was a little dull, but the wedding was fantastic. Although as you say it would be great for Tyrion to be scheming away like he did in S2.

Considering that his other sword was disintegrated by the walker, safe to say that there's something about the dagger that stops that from happening.

And yeah, I don't remember him picking it up. He just sort of whipped it out a couple of episodes ago.

Ah right, cool. Completely missed that.

Good ep overall though, better than last week. Some cracking lines, loved Tyrion with the knife at the wedding.

Although saying that, this season does all seem a bit wheel-spinning. Nothing has reeeeeally happened, just everyone slowly moving to, I assume, some great climax (both narratively and sexually). If it's just more scenes of Jon Snow trudging up with that annoying redhead, or Dragon lady getting ANOTHER army, I'll be a bit miffed. Time to kick it up a notch, no lacking in source material!

Tyrion is always scheming, being blind drunk at his wedding was a calculated scheme.

I wont risk touching the subject which turns grown men into screaming little babies, but look back at everything Tyrion has done, it has all been measured and calculated.

He has no problem standing up to Joffrey but also needs to remember he could lose hes head at any moment and if not for Tywin I don't think he would have had it in him to take the comment back.

Usually he stands up to Joff with more... panache. That being said, this was an emotionally charged situation for him, and he was very drunk. I'd say he handled it rather well. Good thing Tywin was there to keep things in check, though.

I do miss the old days of Tyrion out-thinking and out-talking everyone. This season we've mostly seen him eat shit from his father.
