Apparently they managed to stick Dubayya's head on a stick =)
Causing a bit of a shitstorm at the moment it seems.

Season 3 should be fun. The third book is my favorite by quite some way.

    EEEEEEEEEE!

    Diana Rigg!
    Clive Russell!
Paul Kaye is an intriguing choice for Thoros, too.

Don't think we ever saw Thoros in the TV series yet, did we? Did he get mentioned by any of the characters in earlier episodes?

I'm really pleased to see Clive Russell getting a role in this. Always had a bit of a soft spot for him.
He's in the 13th Warrior, you know.

Thoros, Thoros ... hmm. Who's that again?

    /googles

Ah right. Euhrm. I don't remember really. :-(
I think he should've been shown by now but I don't recall seeing him.

Finally watching series 2. Same great actors, scenery, production, music.

Just I can't give a shit about it. The story is relentless brutal high politics: blood, gore, and medieval pastiche. People die and change allegiance and backstage so much it's all a bit... eh. If there was more to the world, outside of politics, I might enjoy more. I might be being a tad harsh, but there's nothing in it, other than a sense of 'jofre is a cunt' that pulls me in.

Still, very well made and fun often. Good tits too.

    NOT spoilery?
I can't even begin to imagine what a universe where that teaser wasn't spoilery would look like. Something where past, present and future are always known at the same time.

    Worst. Spoilerfest. EVER!

ironic smily (ie a smily indicating irony rather than a smily that is just a smily but means "I'm not smiling"

Just got to season 2, this is seemingly turning into Game of Yawns, so boring atm.

I do slightly worry that the pace will become glacial over the next (hopefully) few seasons, though. If they follow the books, there's going to be a ridiculous number of characters to keep track of. They've done pretty well so far, but yeah.

Finally watched this after constant praises from a few people. Good. Very good. Was very slow to start but clicked around episode four/five once I know the characters. Close to Sopranos, which for me is the greatest TV drama of all time. Roll on season three.

    That is sad.

The character will not be the first to be played by more than one actor though.

I am always late to the party.By the time I ring the front doorbell,I am knee deep in vomit.

Anyhow, I got Season One boxset as a pressie yesterday.Read how good it all was by everyone and their Chipmunk.Sat down put the first DVD in.After the fourth straight episode watched at 1.20am decided it was time to sleep.

I can quite happily say this has grabbed me by the short and curlies and will not let go.

If I recall, he doesn't appear, but is frequently mentioned in various hard-to-believe urban-myth-like stories about a mad bastard monk with a flaming sword. So everybody knows about him, but we never see him. Until we do one day, and it turns out some of the stories turned out to be true...

He won a melee tournament in the the first series. His success was spoken of but not seen.

He was also a drinking partner of King Robert Baratheon.
