It is true that, because Martin is so far behind, it's impossible to say what is actually going to be important in the books. The whole Dorne storyline is entirely different and unresolved. The TV's shit version at least gave that opportunity for Cersei's very evil revenge scene in the end.

I still don't understand why it can't just be discussed in the book thread...

The show might spoil the books.

    Then don't watch the show?

You maybe missed the post before mine? Discussing the differences between the shows and the books in the book thread could spoil the books for non-show watching book readers.

The joke of course is that they don't exist.

    @ubergine

I know at least one personally! Although he's growing increasingly despairing of ever getting closure.

I'm pretty sure the book is going with the words "Old Nan sat her knitting needle down, sipped her brandy from her trencher and said "And that's why Bran you should not climb the walls of Winterfell"

It'll end with "uh, i dunno, magic light kills the white walkers. Theon learned his lesson and his dick grew back by magic so he could be king. A pity everyone else in the world is dead but. I'm so fucking old now. Don't put that in, end with the but sentence. Seriously, stop writing this down, it's finished."(dies)

I wonder what words to the effect of 'don't talk about the books in this thread' would eventually lead to it not happening.

If the next book ever comes out, there's gonna be a lot of TV watchers who buy it, read the last chapter and then spoil the fuck out of it!!

There's at least two more books to come. The end of book 6 probably won't even resemble the end of season 7.

I hope so. Some of the stupidity at display in S7 has actively made me root for the Night King.

His climate change and immigration policy is unsustainable.

There is a possibility that some things in book 5 will appear in the show. So I think the idea that because the show is so far ahead it is unspoilable is not quite true.

I'm not sure Danny's is either. How IS she feeding her Dothraki horde anyway? Are they simply going to toss off back to Essos when they're done there without qualms?

Quality, she's a great actress too. When she's older and doesn't have so much of a baby face I think she'll be offered some really interesting roles.

Why would you spend all that money to do that?
Go to the bookshop, read the last chapter and then spoil the fuck out of it at no extra cost to your good self.

I think she's a dreadful actress, rarely convinces me. But I like the character so meh

I kinda like Maisie Williams. I think she's a decent actor, but she's been given some rubbish over the last few seasons. She still convinces me more than any of the other Stark kids (or Dany, come to that)

She is very different in real life to how she plays Arya, so she might be a decent character actor in the future.

I think she's pretty good. I'm finding her slightly less convincing as a badass as she was as a petulant child, but she still acts rings around Sophie Turner.

There is that!  Sophie Turner had improved but Maisie Williams has regressed with age imo. Could be that the part is no longer right for her. Or that choosing child actors for long running series is hard....

I'd say it's more that the writing for arya has been fairly poor since season 5 at best.
