Don't worry if the ticket won't print. You can just write down the registration number and bring that with you on the day.

Ah brilliant! Thanks for the update :)

Anyone know why EG have stopped doing the expo in the North West? Plenty of big cities up here.

Lots of developers operate in and around London, and find it a lot easier to attend one big event rather than 2 seperate ones, so you're more likely to see some cool exclusive stuff from more games. Which is good :)

It also means all organisational effort go towards one place, so it's easier on EG staffers. Otherwise they may die. True story. Some say no-one ever leaves EG Towers, unless you leave in a body bag. I don't want that.

    Is that word UMBELLIFER?

This ten-lettered, four-syllabled word of modest means comes from the Latin, Umbelliferae, a plant of the carrot family.

    I received the following e-mail today;

    "Hi there,

You're receiving this email as you have purchased a ticket for the
Thursday of this year's Eurogamer Expo.

I'm writing to let you know that because of very high demand for tickets
this year, Thursday, which was previously intended to be a gameplay
preview day, has now been expanded to include features such as the
developer sessions, tournaments etc. Tickets have also been put on
    general sale for this day.

Because of this your tickets have been automatically upgraded to early
entry tickets at no extra charge. With these tickets you'll be admitted
into the show an hour earlier (10am rather than 11am) than other ticket
holders giving you the opportunity to get on the biggest games straight
    away.

I hope this is clear. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to
    drop me a line.

Thanks for your time and I look forward to seeing you this September!

I'm a bit miffed as I bought tickets for the Thursday and Friday, hoping to game all day Thursday and see the dev talks etc on Friday. Although the tickets state they are 'non-refundable' I think it's a bit cheeky, as it is basically (in my eyes) not the event that I originally bought tickets for.

Hey Dolly. Yep, I appreciate it's not ideal for those who had purchased tickets for the Thursday on the understanding that it was a gameplay preview day.

In this circumstance I would be happy to refund your money.

Drop me an email and I'll sort it - tomc at eurogamer dot net

Although bear in mind that you could probably flog it for more than a refund. We aren't making any more early entry tickets available. Just saying!

We're doing a cosplay competition this year! What's the worst that can happen? If you're interested then the rules are right here.

Will this affect the 2 free tickets I was promised for taking part in the Motorstorm competition?

We've updated the cosplay competition. You can now win a PlayStation Vita by attending as either Nathan Drake or Elena Fisher. Details.
