yeah I have the SE115s but there was no way I was getting the pink, dark blue cost 52 and the sound quality is damn good but it's outside your budget.

    You lot are so Neanderthal.

I have the pink and they look fantastic. Same headphones £12 less than the navy blue

When you can't see the angles on the wall you're in trouble.

They unfortunately don't have the blue.

I don't mind the colour pink, I have pink shirts, it's not a 'me - man' type thing. I just can't stand headphones/earphones that aren't black, silver or white. And preferably piano black. I just about tolerate silver and white.

Those Denon's get good ratings, and so do the Klipsch.

They are to replace the Bose in-ear phones.

Kentmonkey, I have the stupidly expensive high end version of those Klipsches and they're excellent. The sound is startlingly clear out of them and when you have a good seal, the bass is excellent, plus controlled, too. I've had the Image Ones from Klipsch, too; they were excellent.

Only issue is I've lost the little line clip that came with them. Going to ask for another free one out of them.

I have a pair if Klipsch earphones. Granted they are the X10s which RRP at about £200, but they sound fantastic. If the Klipsch you are interested in sound anywhere near these then get them.

My favourites and a bargain for the price. I have them in a lovely red. And a silver pair too.

There are upgrades on the vmoda website that I am desperate for but they are a bit pricey

@crashVoodoo the shure's are meant to be good.
I have a pair of Klipsche S4i's which cost about 55 ish, and have fantastic sound quality for the price.

Been very tempted to get a pair of these lately.

Interesting... I broke my pair of SoundMagic somethingorothers and I'm in the market for some new earphones.

I wasn't that impressed with my old pair anyway; I like dubstep and the bass on the SoundMagics was rubbish, you literally couldn't hear anything other than snares and hats a lot of the time.

The audio guys I spoke to told me that the sound on the Klipsche S4's that I got were about as good as you can get for under 180. I definitely recommend them.

@buggrit Thanks. Will definitely pick up a pair for myself at some point as long as the Christmas damage isn't too bad.

I'm not sure that suggestion will have been worth the 6 month wait.

I got them as I couldn't justify the expense of the P5s and needed a good set of earphones - I've had them 11 months and fall in love with them again every day :)

I heart my P5's! Been looking at a pair of these too, maybe I'll buy them for myself at Christmas if I'm good.

I love my P5s, although I'm secretly a bit annoyed about the new P3s which I think have nicer design, and are apparently better audio.

Klipsch X10i are still the daddies for in-ears at that price point though (well, a bit more expensive, but if you're spending that much on headphones why quibble).
  • Deleted user 19 November 2012 14:25:06
They look nice but also like they're too much aesthetic design over function and would be needing constant fiddling. The Phonak 112s are pretty awesome if you're looking at mid price and are far better quality than the cost suggests.

I just had another pair of Sennheisers fall apart on me (actually, they developed a loose connection at the jack so the sound to one ear started cutting out) so I'll be trying another brand this time. I've still got a pair of arctic cooling wooden in-ears, but the sound quality is just poor enough compared to the sennheisers that I'm willing to spend 50 quid on the SE115s to improve my daily.
I'm not willing to save 15 by buying the pink ones though.
I had the same problem on my Sennheisers and the volume button stopped working properly too. I only use them on the bike when training so decided to go really cheap. Bought some Skull candy ones last week on a friend's recommendation and they are perfect. Easily as good as the Sennheisers and lots cheaper.

I also had X10i's and P5's recommended but no desire to spend that much for what I need them for.

@kalel I thought they were marketing the P3s as a cheaper option to the P5s.

    Anyone using the Se535's?

Thinking of treating myself for Christmas, already use the Se215's and I think they're incredible so I'm wondering how the 535's will improve on them.

I bought some earphones the other week and they just got in, not as described at all, going to get a refund on them and was wondering what people would recommend?
I have a pair of headphones for indoor use so these will be used outside for when I'm going to work, store and so on.
I listen to a small variations of music, but mostly indie rock stuff, some rock, some dubstep, soundtracks, live concerts, electronic and other random stuff.
I was planning on getting B&W C5s but reviews I'm reading are fairly negative, will look more into it though.

@BryanAKADJ The C5s have got positive reviews everywhere. Engadget, CNET, head-fi, techcrunch and so on. I haven't seen one negative review of them.
