Well, after seeing the news on the homepage today that Warhawk developer Lightbox Interactive are teasing the rumoured Starhawk game, I have to say I really hope they are soon to confirm it as Warhawk was brilliant.

Then again, could it be something different entirely? Maybe we'll hear more at E3?

It'll be at E3, Sony's next BIG Move game after KZ3 and Socom

I also loved warhawk (even if I was rubbish at it).

WarHawk was an incredible game and such a great first effort in MP from that team. Truly excited by what they could come up with, with all these years of feedback they must have collected.

Do people still play Warhawk? I never really felt the love, but I probably play it wrong, I hated Battlefield until I found out about spotting.

I went back on about a year ago and just got my arse handed to me. A hardcore haven now a days I think.

I did play it solidly for a few months when it first came out and it was glorious...

Oh, there's still quite large hardcore community still playing WarHawk, and yeah heading in now would leave a sour taste (everyone got awesomes etc).

They do occasionally set up 'n00b' servers.

I was probably in the 'hardcore' category on Warhawk but that was back in 2008, now I'd probably be hopeless.

I wonder if it is Starhawk that'll get announced, whether it'll have a SP campaign?

Haha, it was £3.95 in blockbuster

I've got all the add ons for WH, I just didn't seem to get it. I do remember when it first came out having an amazing tank ride.

I know it's not important, but wasn't WH sub HD? Will they be able to keep it fast paced and up the resolution without changing the game engine entirely

I would love that! I played WH a lot a over a long period, I would say I played it quite decent and always had a lot of love for it. I was shit with plains, but a landmine king!

I would buy a sequel in a heartbeat!

I thought it looked decent to be honest. And you are correct, it ran at 1280x720, with 2xMSAA i'll have you know. Frame-rate was locked, and consistent, at 30 FPS.

I have considered getting Warhawk back but figured not many play anymore, plus I'm not sure/can't remember if it's worldwide servers?

Got a few games on the go anyway so probably a waste of time. Just hope we hear a few more teases as E3 approaches about Starhawk, if it actually is a game called Starhawk!

If it is anything like Warhawk, it will for sure be a day 1 purchase. I honestly can't wait for a sequel!

It's certainly gone very quite since Dylan Jobe came out a few weeks ago to tease what most think will be Starhawk.

So, going by the news article on the front page the sequel is in fact going to be named, wait for it, Warhawk 2.

Perhaps a mod can change the thread title? Or change it to Warhawk 2 once we have more official confirmation?

This one will have a single player campaign by all accounts.
