    By being awesome. I do get the occasional silver or gold though, and from time to time a bronze. I think I've had to replay one event to get enough points.

    Anyway, I've completed Black side now. Time for White side.

    I've not had much trouble unlocking missions, the main probkem is that I've not had much fun either.

    I've had fun. It's not the best game I've played recently, but as a beat-em-up throwback with added mentalness it's worthwhile.

    It's not that difficult to get platinum on some of the events (on normal).  You dont have to grind much / at all.  There aren't any unlockable abilities in the single player, so its just a few waves of bad guys to unlock the next mission.

    Now finished one full playthrough starting on Black Side, on normal. I'm going to have a go at a full playthrough starting on White Side on hard. When you finish one 'Side' it starts you again on the other side then you get a final showdown which I'm guessing is different depending on which side you first started on. I reckon the Black Side missions and boss battles are generally harder, but the waves of map enemies are easier.

    I've decided I like the campaign. The characters are really cool, the combat system is very good, the cut scenes are really good, and the story is ok or whatever. There are loads of Boss battles, and they are pretty good fun.

    I like the look of this, but it seems like it must have sold terribly here as well. Last night and tonight I've tried online and managed to play in 2 games. Shame it hasn't got the ability to see all available rooms. :-(

    Goodness me, this gets a bit mental at the end. Some very Japanese cut-scenes for the final boss fights too. It grabbed me quite a bit by the end.

    Can I be bothered by doing White Side -> Black Side now?

    Just finished Blackside. It's a really good brawler off-line, makes it so much more annoying that there's no split-screen.

    I've played this quite solidly over the last few days and I've only just started feeling like I know how to play it properly online.

    It's really absorbing once you start to get it. Anyone for some versus AI battles to sharpen the skills? It's a brutal learning curve PvP.

    Nice couple of games last night, didn't see you come online Rich though.

    Started the campaign on Hard now, the extra hits the enemies take makes the combat all the more satisfying.

    I'm so glad this was released over here. It's so unique.

    Played last night and was much easier to get a game going than last week. Game is great fun, bit rough around the edges but suppose the chaos is part of the appeal. Add me for games guys.360 GT: Dav UK2007. Thanks!

    Aye, I really enjoyed those games. I'm just about to try an AI Deathball match as I've repeatedly failed to get games online.

    Should be around most of the day/night although I have to cook dinner at some point.

    This might be my favourite Platinum game so far despite its rough overall look. It plays really smooth despite all the carnage so I can take the trade off, the character designs are really strong despite the vaseline visuals.

    It's the Powerstone sequel that I've always wanted so I'm very happy about that. I can't wait for MGR as a result.

    Deathball's really fun although I don't really get how the goals open. I initially thought the ball has to be passed between the whole team but that doesn't seem to be the case. Anyone else know?

    For Deathball mate you just have to have possession if the ball on your team until the bar that fills up reaches the arrow. Once you've done that the goal opens and standing inside the '18-yard box' type thing will make you score. Got 5 in my last match!!

    Every so often I'd try for a game with randoms, and can never get one on any mode across any of the regions. It was dead like this for me within a fortnight of it's release, so I can't see it having changed now.

    If you can get it for around a tenner though, then I'd still consider it. AI battles are surprising fun, and makes for a great time-waster.

    Current gen Power Stone comparisons are apt.
