I'm looking forward to the hand to hand fights, It looks like a lite version of the Arkham games.

Should give them the bird regardless.

Good idea IMHO; driving around LA Noire and having to constantly switch back to the map was a pain in the arse.

Car handling, it looked as iightweight as Saints Row. I have no idea how people can't tell wha thandling is like from videos. ;)

i guess i'll have ot wait and see - the game looks like it could be great as a whole
Light weight? They look heavy to me in an arcade racer or GT way. It looks better than the floaty exaggerated GTA handling.

Handling is hard to tell in vids because you don't know the actual speed or breaks applied in a game. You also don't know if the car demo was from an earlier build where the physics weren't finalized. *shrugs*

Also I preordered this. Should I feel stupid or good about myself? I dunno, I really like open world games.

Why would you feel stupid about pre-ordering it (or anything for that matter)? No-one is judging you :)

There's something about this game that makes me...uneasy. It isn't the issues other people have highlighted about cars, I'm more worried about how well the rest of the gameplay is. Floaty cars is fine because I'm on a PC, so floaty = easy to control, and heavy = ohgodkeys. Because there's only two modes for keyboard control: 100% and 0%.

I'm very interested in this game as I'm a fan of Hong Kong action films, so this is just the game I've been waiting for.

The closest thing was Chinatown Wars on the DS but I just can't get on with it.

Oh, cool, my preorder netted me a pile of TF2 items today, and I actually play heavy! Yes.

This really appeals but I thought True Crime was pretty terrible so am cautious about putting £35 down. If it's as much fun as Saints 2 I'm in.

You're quite right, I should have said of the games I've played. Stranglhold is definitely one I need to play aswell.

I agree, Stranglehold would plug the gap between now and Sleeping Dogs quite nicely. If you've ever enjoyed anything John Woo has made, you will love it (while it lasts).

Yeah, after learning about it yesterday, I hit Youtube for the videos and what struck me was that, while it looked pretty polished, it was being played in a very specific way, which could belie a broken mess when the public get hold of it and start being creative.

    Dunno.

I think given the amount they are trying to pull off it's bound to be a little glitchy. Let's just hope itís fun with it. Open world melee combat game with Max Payne style slo mo shooting. How is the melee for instance going to cope with kicking someone into a moving car? How about switching between melee and shooting?

Still I think it looks like itís going to be fun just they are trying to do quite a bit.

From what i can gather, its GTA-esque with a Hong Kong action movie setting, some grizzly violence and a combat system similar to Arkham Asylum.

I dont care about anyone else, thats a AAA game to me!

Even though I've been looking forward to this for a while and I am loving what I've seen so far I predict the scores to be around 7/10. I'm buying it no matter what.

I can't wait for this. It's out next Tuesday in the US. Interested to read their impressions and some more reviews. Going to place my pre-order shortly either way.
