Valve’s just confirmed that Portal 2 will feature cross-platform play between PS3 and both PC and Mac owners of the game when it releases in April.

Features also confirmed a “persistent cloud-based storage of PS3 saved games” as well as cross-platform chat on PS3, PC and Mac.

Valve’s also confirmed it’ll include a “Steam Play” of the game with every copy of the PS3 version, which means a Steam key for the PC and Mac version will be included.

Was going to get the PC version, but will consider getting the PS3 version now.

I wonder how much used copies will end up going for a few days after release...

    yeah seems open to abuse

    1. Order game on line for £35ish pound
    2. Receive game, extract PC code
    3. take game to HMV/CEX for £30 (at least) trade in

Well those "pad spackers' & "downers' will have a PC & Mac versions too.
So you can co-op with them there instead.

edit: But to be honest, They probably wouldn't want to co-op with a couple of cock ends like you anyhow :)

I know its not really comparable because they are two different games, but if the user base for L4D on the 360 (utter spackers) compared to the PC (human beings) is anything to go by, then I will be avoiding PS3 users like the plague for this. It was like night and day on that game.

From what I've read it may not work that way - it won't be a code, it will involve linking your PSN and Steam accounts.

Wouldn't really make much difference, unless they're going to force you to have your PS3 on whilst you're playing on the PC.

You dont have to use those 1 button mice.
In fact when you download Steam on Mac it tells you that a 2 button mouse is a preferable.

Anyway, my last comment still stands. Im pretty sure if I for whatever reason found myself in a co-op game with you or Fluffy. I wouldn't hang around to long. :)

Speaking to a PC gamer yesterday, he says he absolutely cannot get to grips with playing with a pad. I find using both pad and mouse easy myself. Mouse is fine but I find you are succeptible to the odd spazz out with it, I'd prefer to be playing Mass Effect with a pad.
