Don't see what the fuss is all about imo. We've still got a decent chance and will have learned from last year's gung ho effort.

Both legs are in February aren't they? I'm not around so I'll miss the games. :(

    lol!

Is Vermaelen due back any time soon? I don't fancy the holy triumvirate of suck we currently have to be able to withstand Barca's attacking prowess (i.e. Messi).

You know me, ever the optimist. :) Which I'm actually not, I'm just not defeatist

No idea on Verm, they have no clue what is wrong with him

I've already booked an appointment with my GF's beauty Salon for my full Braziliman wax. I'll be wearing nothing but an Arsenal shirt when I get it done. I'll pop out to boots today and get two massive tubs of Vaseline for each leg.

Should make inevitable much more bearable :)

It's my crass way of saying I think we'll lose, badly. I know i'll be optimistic before the games, but i'm still sour from the United loss. Forgive my base allegory.

    Bang? You mean whimper surely?
But I agree, I prefer we go out now, than in the semis. Just a shame those bastard spuds will go further than us.

Win win for me. If we win great, if we don't still great, as we can focus on the league.

Guardiola knows us inside out, he's a student of Arsene and receives a DVD of all our games. When his playing days at Barca were over he tried very hard to move to us so he could learn from Arsene, but Arsene didn't need him in the squad. Pep was a regular visitor to our training ground while he was doing his coaching badges and while he was coach of Barca B.

At the beginning of his spell as Barca first team coach things weren't going well and he was under great scrutiny. One of the first people he rang was Arsene who told him he needed to stick to his principles and do it his way. After they won everything at the end of the season, Guardiola rang Arsene to say thanks.

Not many people are aware of the above.

In a moment of frivolity, I've voted the Busquets own goal as my choice of March goal of the month

Not sure why, but it had me chuckling to myself this morning.....perhaps our March collapse has damaged me psycologically..... ;0)
