I have two tickets (stalls, section H) for the Final Fantasy Distant Worlds concert next Friday in London. Not looking for profit, just to break even on face value; 50 quid each. Prefer to sell as a pair but will consider singles.|
Drop me a PM if anyone's interested.

Looking forward to seeing this on Friday. I was very, very tempted to go for the VIP tickets (which included a meeting with Nobuo Uematsu afterwards), but ended up regaining my sanity and going for a pair of regular tickets.
I heard somewhere that there is going to be some sort of special annuncement made, so I hope that's true.
Yeah i've got tickets in a box like last year. Did you get the latest email from them?
Which email was that? Haven't had one in ages.
Octobers email. They do a mounthly one if you subscribe on the website
Hope you guys are ready for the concert tomorrow!
Tomorrow is only a day away! I'm going with a group of five friends, and seeing as I ordered all the tickets, I should be in for a tidy little windfall tomorrow...
Yep looking forward to it. Going for a few drinks in a pub before hand with someone we met at last years event then heading to the concert. Can't wait

ARGGHH I MISSED IT AGAIN!
Loving it so far! The chocobo medley was fantastic.
They tried to get people to sing along to One Winged Angel, but it didn't really happen that way.
Programs were £25! Still, apparently they go for a small fortune on ebay and among collectors, and this one should be pretty sought after as its one of only 5 25th anniversary concerts.
Looking forward to a brand new, full rendering of the Opera from FFVI.
It was a shame no one joined in on OWA. I can't judge, since I didn't either, but it could've been amazing.
I absolutely loved it though - the highlight for me was 'Opera - Maria and Draco'. Incredibly powerful, epic stuff. Maaaaaarriiiiiaaaaaa!!!
I did notice a guy outside with a professional camera, and another stage-right. Please, please, please let there be a DVD!
lol. OWA meets English mentality! Sing along would probably work in the US.
25 for the programme was milking the cow. For that money, I'd expect at least a mini book!
Battle medley was good but overallit felt all too much like a cash-in to me this time round.
I loved the battle medley at the end.
I agree with Ror- highlight was definitely the opera, and the new piece by Uematsu in the middle was fantastic and fitted it perfectly. Im not sure I agree with it feeling like a cash in. There were plenty of fan favourites, but it was peppered with new arrangements, new compositions and orchestral premieres of older tracks.
If I had to pick a couple of niggles, I'd say that it wasnt as loud as I was expecting and often the string section got lost underneath the brass. I would have thought it would be amplified.
Wouldnt surprise me at all if there is another DVD, or at least a new CD (hopefully with improved sound mixing to bring the strings up a bit), given the new pieces and arrangements.
Yes, it was all very British, wasn't it!
I wanted a program, until I saw a guy buy one - it looked really thin, more like a pamphlet. Twenty-five quid seemed pretty outrageous.
I liked the Battle Medley (got it on video, along with a few others. I'll post them on Youtube tomorrow and link them if anyone's interested), but it seemed really short - I picked out Battle at the Big Bridge, Fight with Seymour and Those who Fight. Was there anything else in there?
I loved the show (even if there were some massive gaps - no Aeris' Theme, no Terra's Theme, no Main Themes of IV/VII, Liberi Fatali, Suteki Da Ne, etc), but then it was my first Distant Worlds, so it would've been pretty hard to disappoint me. The one piece I really wanted to hear (To Zanarkand) was played, too.
EDIT - @darkmorgado Yeah, the strings did get completely buried a few times. I'm really hopeful for a DVD, seeing as this was the first of the 'Celebration' concerts.
EDIT -Argh! Damned touchscreen keyboards!

I think the reason why a lot of classics got left out is because they went with the theme of having every game represented. Also, the cds and things are often extended, as the playlist does change between concerts.
Normally only a handful of the games are represented at each concert, so it was nice - and fitting - to have them all present in some form. Was gutted there wasn't a second encore though, I was really expecting one when the orchestra remained seated and then the conductor came back on stage again.
Also slightly disappointed that non-core games continue to be overlooked by DW. Would have been great to see Tactics, Vagrant Story, Tactics Advanced etc present in some form, even if only as a medley ensemble.
I thoroughly enjoyed it but have to say i preferred last years to to it's set list. I was one a the few who did sing along to OWA but was gutted no-one else joined in as it would've been epic especially for the DVD. Did anyone else see the little girl in Chocobo outfit?

These are taking an age to upload!
@Mageme Some excellent shots there, especially the second and third, thanks for sharing!
Here's Prelude. I've got two more to upload (Main Theme of FFI and Theme of Love), but I'll do those tomorrow - these uploads are killing my bandwidth.
Incidentally, if anyone watches them, make sure to switch up to 720p. I shot these in 1440x1080, but youtube seems to default them to 240p and they look like crap.
Ok, so I uploaded one more. Main Theme of Final Fantasy.
Definitely done for today. I'll upload the last one, Theme of Love, tomorrow.
Looks like it was great.
Lol at OWA and no-one singing along.
Heartbroken I didn't get to go myself. Crushed.
Thanks for the videos!
Chocobo medley was awesome. Liile choco on the vid, popping up in time with the choir going "hey!" Got a huge amount of laughs.
Needed more kupos though.
Moogles are, unofficially, the mascot of FF. weird how they are continually overlooked.
The Chocobo medley was very entertaining. Very different, too.
Ok, last one: Theme of Love.
I've knocked together a short write-up if anyone's interested, with all my videos embedded.

@Zackv4861 I joined in as well but only quietly .
As for cosplay, there was brilliant looking Yuna a few rows from me. Never saw her again after she took her seat though.
I saw the Chocobo kid Zack mentioned. Also saw a XIII-2 Lightning, which was very good, and there was a stunning Terra a couple of rows in front of me.
