Ah excellent, my brother is going to get my a signed *something*. Trying to find out what CD's the have on offer. Be nice to have a distant worlds or an official FF OST.

I can only assume he is in the orchestra.

Mageme, keep an eye out for Michael Whight in the programme. He'll be there blowing on a clarinet.

So I went to the Saturday afternoon performance, it was indeed intimate as the concert name stated. The performances felt quite informal, to the point you could hear the banter between Arnie and the musicians. Of particular comedy, was where Arnie himself felt he hadn't played the end section of FFXIII's Blinded by Light well, so he decided to replay it.

I felt, because of the small ensemble, the music did have a certain high school band quality to it (no offence to Widge's brother!!!!) but certain pieces elevated it above that level. The opening with OWA and ending with VIII's Force Your Way were both high points. The concert was peppered with notable pieces from the series. Admittedly, I'm not a big fan of the chocobo theme but the ukulele version they played was fun. So overall, it was a nice deviation from the big performances but not a massive deal if you missed out on tickets this time.

Anyway, will share some photos soon! There are already videos up on youtube so I won't embarrass myself by uploading the poor quality of mine.

They implied that there would be future dates and perchance another DW concert, so will keep folks updated!

I actually got seats in the stalls this time. In 2012 I was in the circle. Should be a good view.

There are some cheapo restricted/no screen view tickets if anyone's desperate to get into the London concert in November. Just check out the Royal Albert Hall website.

Don't forget there is a separate New World concert on the 31st October, the night before the main RAH concert.

Tickets go on sale at 10 this morning but you have to be quick! It was sold out in about half an hour last time. Unfortunately I have a meeting at work so can't join in the ticket buying fracas.

The page is down at the moment, so either they're updating it to be able to book tickets or the fans are swamping the site. (Alternatively just call the box office 020 7222 1061).

Just got back from my meeting and surprisingly there are still lots of tickets for the New World concert, including VIP meet and greet tickets.

I guess this is being eclipsed by the main RAH concert the next evening and folks not wanting to fork out for two concerts in a row. Still, if you want to meet and greet...

Yeah, I don't think I can afford it, sadly. Bad timing.

Still, if tickets remain available for a few days, I could see me being silly...

So these two concerts have crept up on us quickly; only a week or so away. Haven't read much about the main RAH line up, just that there will be a 'special world premiere' and 'many new songs'. Susan Calloway will be there for a FF XIV song. Not heard of any more news.

On a separate note, I may (read, MAY) have a spare ticket going up for the RAH concert, depends on what wifey decides in the next couple of days. Drop me a PM if you're remotely interested and it could be yours, it is a front row arena seat.

Cor, front row? Jammy bugger ;)

Susan Calloway! \o/ Glad to hear we'll be getting some FFXIV stuff - sounds like it'll probably be Answers, which is fine by me.

I wonder what the world premiere is..? Didn't they say the same thing about 2012?

Really looking forward to this now. I was a big fan of Susan Calloway when she sang "eyes on me" the first year.

    It'll be a great night i'm sure

OK, so I will have a spare front row arena ticket to sell for Saturday's concert. Asking for face value nothing more, feel free to give me a shout.
